About the location

APPERSETT

Hawes 1 mile.

Appersett is a hamlet in the Yorkshire Dales just one mile from its famous neighbour of Hawes. Nestling under the hills of upper Wensleydale, the small hamlet lies between Hawes and the small village of Hardraw. Whilst being completely off the beaten track, the village has the benefit of the many amenities of the market town of Hawes, just one mile away. Hawes, Yorkshire's highest market town, is famous for its chocolate-box, picture-postcard appeal and as the home of Wensleydale Cheese. The town is an excellent centre for walking and touring Wensleydale and the adjoining dales. This is a great location for walkers, from the castles at Bolton and Middleham, to Hardraw Force, England's highest single drop waterfall.
