Dating back to the early 19th Century, these three Cartmel cottages are situated on the magnificent Longlands country house estate, on the fringes of the village of Cartmel in the Lake District. Occupying a commanding position at the foot of Hampsfell hills with sweeping views across the Cartmel valley and approached via a private driveway through beautiful park land, these three Cartmel cottages are sure to impress with their grandeur and charm. Tucked away behind the main house, these three Cartmel cottages have been created out of what was originally the servants’ quarters and the stable blocks. Longlands has a superb walled kitchen-garden overflowing with the freshest natural produce just waiting to be explored and enjoyed. These three Cartmel cottages offer the perfect base for exploring the Lake District and Cumbria and a warm welcome will be extended to all.
A lovely, cosy semi-detached Cartmel cottage, perfect for couples seeking a relaxing getaway. With open plan accommodation downstairs and well appointed décor, this Cartmel cottage is sure to please. The bedroom at this Cartmel cottage can be arranged as either a twin room or a king-size double and there is a lovely outlook from the Juliet balcony over the croquet lawn and grounds towards the driveway. Superb walks can be enjoyed from the door including a pleasant ramble up to the ‘Hospice of Hampsfell’, a viewing tower providing panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Note: This cottage is next to Refs 10306 and 10307 and together they accommodate 6 people.

A gorgeous setting, property full of character, very peaceful. Cottage was very clean with all facilities and a very big comfy bed and quilt! Very close to villages for necessities, pub grub and of course the sticky toffee puddings!

The bedroom was spacious and the kingsize bed was very comfortable, the best we have slept in. We had a great time and our little dog loved walking round the grounds. Very secluded but not too far from the village.
