Kirkby Lonsdale 3 miles.
Tunstall is a small village in the Lune Valley, just three miles from Kirkby Lonsdale and the ‘famous’ Devils Bridge, made up of traditional stone-built dwellings, a Grade I listed Church and the Lunesdale Arms, a renowned bar and fine restaurant. Located just a mile away, The Highwayman Inn is one of a group of fine dining pubs owned by the renowned chef Nigel Haworth. Nearby Kirkby Lonsdale is situated in the heart of the Lune Valley, mid-way between the Yorkshire Dales and the Lake District. Thursday is market day, a perfect opportunity for visitors to explore the variety of distinctive shops in the town, or the many 17th and 18th century buildings which still stand. This part of the Lune Valley was a favourite haunt of the artist Turner, and was made famous by Ruskin - his "view" of the valley is still spectacular. The quiet country lanes are ideal for exploring by car, bike, or even horse. There are three golf courses nearby, as well as tennis, riding, fishing and a variety of riverside and country walks, making the area an ideal location for a break, whatever time of year.

The Paddock was wonderfully equipped, it was a pleasure to stay in and come back to after a day out. A really great position to explore from. The cottage was always warm. The television and sound system was a great feature. The secure parking was a real benefit.

Awesome property. Everything we expected and more. And the owner was always at hand to offer advice on how to work different appliances! Thank you.
