The historic village of Cartmel, renowned as the prettiest in the Lake District, is just 2 miles away, and boasts charming streamside walks, quaint cobbled streets littered with antique shops, traditional pubs and the acclaimed, Michelin Star-awarded L'Enclume restaurant. The picturesque Edwardian seaside resort of Grange-over-Sands is also within 2 miles and features a traffic-free promenade, delightful ornamental gardens, a choice of golf courses and excellent bird watching opportunities. A superb base from which to enjoy this magical area.

The Property

This beautiful, detached and handcrafted log cabin is situated in Blenkett Wood Lodge Park, an exclusive development of just 13 cabins, within 15 acres of woodland, on the outskirts of Allithwaite. This Allithwaite cottage boasts natural character and aesthetic charm to create a cosy atmosphere and a holiday home of real merit. This Allithwaite cottage offers a sitting room with woodburning stove, a first class kitchen, two delightful bedrooms, one en-suite, a modern bathroom and timber floors throughout. Outside, a lovely decked area with private hot tub provides that little bit of extra luxury. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon amongst the beautiful woodland, with rare trees and wild flowers in abundance, or alternately take a pleasant stroll down to the coast, venture inland along one of the many nearby footpaths, or visit one of the local pubs for a refreshing drink. This Allithwaite cottage is an ideal holiday location for couples and small families to get away from it all and enjoy this quiet, unspoilt corner of the Lake District. The Lake District National Park, Lakeland Motor Museum, the old village of Cartmel and the pleasant Victorian seaside resort of Grange-over-Sands are all within easy reach, making this Allithwaite cottage a superb base.
