  • "Great holiday house, lots of space to spread out and lots of fun things to do in the cottage itself."

Snooker table, dart board and hot tub were well used (in fact husband and son were playing snooker right up until departure). We had great weather so enjoyed the outside space a lot as we brought along lots of garden games from home too. The resident wild bunnies in the garden were a delight to watch. We enjoyed exploring the local coastline the beaches are great but not busy at all. The sea was good for swimming in as the depth doesn't drop away. We also hired bikes at Spurn Point and had a great explore there ending up in a lovely cafe at the Discovery Centre. We ate out at The Nancy twice and Nineteen too, also got takeaway fish and chips from Sue's in Hedon all good meals. We also ate in using local produce from independent shops in Hedon. Two huge fridges were great and a big oven and hob area. Knives could do with a sharpen, a few more cereal size spoons and a better peeler were only negatives kitchen wise. Our mixed generation party had a wonderful time and would look to return if still available in future.

  • "A beautiful spacious place for 3 generations of our family."

Everyone was able to enjoy a space for themselves but also appreciate the communal spaces. Such was the enjoyment of evening snooker, darts and Scrabble that tvs were hardly switched at all. The location made it easy for us to visit both coast and countryside, as well as Hull Beverley and York

Thank you for your comments We would welcome you back anytime Property Owner

  • "A delightful, spacious property that’s very well equipped."

We were a party of 12, ages ranging from 14 to 80 who had a fantastic 3 day birthday celebration. The snooker table and hot tub (cleaned daily by the owner) was very popular. Would recommend The Nancy Inn for good food, only a 10 min walk from the barn. Can’t fault this place, will definitely be back.

George was so accomodating and polite. We would absolutely go back! 11 guests stayed, very spacious, so clean, stunning gardens. We had beautiful weather to make the most of it and felt like we could have been anywhere in the world. So relaxing and tranquil. Amazing, large hot tub, kept clean throughout stay by owner and was ready at great temperature when we arrived! We would absolutely recommend & will certainly be returning in the future!

  • "Fabulous weekend away with friends and our young families."

The property was perfect - plenty of space for everyone (both to get together as a big group and have space to themselves), lovely big outdoor area, everything we could possibly need catered for (we didn't think we'd need the washing machine for 2 nights, but with 6 children between us, it did 2 cycles on the first night and we were really grateful to find detergent in the cupboard!). We spent a lovely lazy day at the property, making use of the hot tub and having a kick about in the garden while the dads made use of the full-sized snooker table and dart board! We found plenty to keep everyone entertained, without rushing around to fit as much as we possibly could into one weekend. We also had a lovely meal out at The Nancy, and fun on the nearby play park which wore the children out! On our final day we spent a brilliant few hours in Withnersea, and we're already planning further trips and thinking about who we can take with us next time as the property is suitable for all!

The photos do not do it justice, we all loved the property. Absolutely everything you could need for a break is here. The host, is very welcoming and informative with great communication. The surroundings are beautiful and peaceful, and the local pub serves wonderful tasty food. Book this place, you will not be disappointed

  • "This is a fabulous property which has so much space!"

It was extremely clean and had a great range of amenities. We were a group of 4 adults & 5 children and there was more than enough room for us. There is ablution cloakroom for jackets and shoes which keeps them out of the way, a number of public rooms so everyone could do their own thing. The garden is huge and the house is set back from the main road in a quiet village so is extremely quiet and peaceful. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the showers were great too! I can’t fault the property at all - I am already looking forward to going back.

  • "Superb house with loads of outdoor space for the children to have a great game of football."

Hot tub was massive and all the other entertainment features were ideal for a week with a family, ranging from 8years to 70. There was plenty to do in the surrounding area with bowling and golf football at Hull as well as the more popular attractions. Certainly would recommend this property to others.

  • "What an amazing place."

Historic barn which was full of original features. It was beautifully furnished and well equipped. Beds were very comfy. There are several different seating areas both inside and out meaning as a group of 11 we had plenty of options. Great kitchen with 2 big freezers which was very handy. Wouldn't change a thing, the owner George was very helpful and friendly - definitely recommend this property.

  • "The accommodation was spacious and clean, but for the price we expected a smart TV and a DVD player."

My main reason for only 3 stars is that the beds were rock hard and so uncomfortable. It was impossible to open my bedroom window so the room was stuffy. Also, 2 members of our group were stung by wasps and I think there was a nest in the garden because we had so many wasps coming into the property. That problem definitely needs sorting sooner rather than later. Whilst some members of our group would come back to this property, I definitely wouldn’t.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry you needed to publish this on the website. Any issues raised would have been rectified if we had been told at the time. The wasp situation has now been resolved..Beds are subjective and these have memory foam mattresses.Property is not advertised as having a DVD player, again if you had mentioned this to the owner he has a DVD player he could have loaned you for your stay.. .
