  • "The Barn was lovely - clean, comfortable and cozy."

The extra touches from the hosts were recieved with excitement from the children. We ate at The Ship Inn (a 2 min walk away). They were friendly and welcoming. The food was good pub grub. A nice little weekend bolt hole.

Musty and old fashioned. Internet never worked as the network was not stable and you couldn't maintain a connection for more than a minute or so, but it was hard to tell as it was slower than dial up when connected.

Sorry to hear you had problems. The Barn has very good Wi-Fi normally, with an extender hard wired into the lounge, but I cannot vouch for it during your stay. We are now embarking on a refurb for the Barn over the next couple of years to bring it up to date. Gary and Mandy. Property Owner

All facilities and utensils are provided, including the little things like tea, coffee, washing-up liquid etc. On arrival the owners had left out cake and treats for us, and there was fresh milk in the fridge. The garden area is enclosed and has a delightful barbeque area - the poor weather during our stay prevented us from enjoying this, but during summer this would be a great option.

Fantastic property at a very decent price. From the muffins in the welcome pack to the spacious living areas (and a large kitchen) to the fast Wi-Fi (essential for the teenage son in our group!), we really couldn't fault it. Our two dogs loved the little hidden garden, and it's a great place to have a morning coffee. The Barn is on the edge of the town of Long Sutton so there are plenty of places to eat and drink too. Highly recommended

They were there if we needed them, but not intrusive. The garden was wonderful, l'm pinching some of their ideas for my garden. We were in Norfolk to visit family, so had some friends and family over parking in the drive, they put themselves out to accommodate us. Really felt the barn and garden belonged to us, a really good vibe.

Thank you for you great comments. It was a pleasure to host your family for the week. The constant sunshine also played its part! We try to get a balance between humans and nature in the garden, and hopefully get it right. Property Owner

The Barn was a hidden gem in a beautiful village. It catered for everything we needed and more. Plenty of parking space and a lovely large enclosed garden which is peace of mind for those with small children and dogs. In the garden is a large wooden gazebo and bbq with lots of seating which unfortunately we didn’t get to use as we stayed in February but this would be a great addition in the summer months. There were welcome gifts from the hosts which live in the property next door. They are there if needed but leave you to enjoy your stay privately. The rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were comfortable and the kitchen was massively equipped with a washer for those staying more than a couple of days. There are plenty of local amenities within a short walking distance from local shops, pubs and takeaways. Plenty of scenic walks in the area and it’s an hour away from the coast. The Barn surpassed our expectations and we would definitely love to return in the future

The barn was very clean and had everything we required. Only thing that wasn’t provided was a mop which meant I was unableTo clean floors before leaving. Garden was a great size Owners were carrying out some work but this did not affect us being able to use it and our dog loved it. Although everything was what we needed I did unfortunately feel that for me the property was quite dark but that would not stop me recommending it. It was also a pity that the garden was not seen From inside the property. I am being picky with these last comments though. All in all a great property.

Thank you for kind comments. We try and be as discrete as possible so not to disturb guests, so any gardening is usually undertaken when guests are out. Good point about a mop, so we will provide a mop and bucket. Gary and Mandy. Property Owner

As we visited in January we could not make use of the Gazebo with the barbecue but should be great in the summer. Some road noise whilst in the garden but didn't bother us. Heating via individual electric heaters which was OK and the problem with one of them was quickly resolved by Gary providing an additional heater. The place was nice and warm even in winter. One minor issue was the laminated flooring was a little slippy for our dogs but will probably not be an issue with others. Very comfortable large bed in the main bedroom.
