The village of Osgodby is centrally located for visiting many of Lincolnshire's diverse tourist attractions and traditional market towns. Osgodby village is the home of award winning; locally produced, 'Cotes Hill' Cheese, offers lots of local county walks; with circular routes, and village playing field and play park. Only a stones throw away is the Viking way and picturesque village of Tealby; home of the 'Viking Sausage'. Close by, is the lively market town of Market Rasen, located on the River Rase and enjoys the charm of a bygone era with a cobbled market square and small market; held on Tuesday's and Saturdays, an array of traditional, bakers, butchers and gift shops, pubs and restaurants, golf course, and horse racecourse. A short drive away are the small market towns of Caistor; with it's Corn Hill market area and newly opened Hertiage Centre, and Brigg; the 'original' home of 'The Lincolnshire Farmers Market' - hosted every 4th Saturday of the month. Also nearby is the beautiful Georgian market town of Louth, known as the capital of the Lincolnshire Wolds, which is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and birth place of Lord Albert Tennyson, with rolling hills offering picturesque views, walks (inc. Tennyson Trial) and cycle routes, as well as Cadwell Park motor sport circuit. Why not visit Horncastle renowned for its many antique shops and fine hertiage (inc. home of Joseph Banks). Spend an afternoon visiting Hemswell Antique Centre. Finally, spend a day discovering the Cathedral city of Lincoln which has something to suit all tastes, including Lincoln Castle and Cathedral, historical Castle Square and Bailgate; with its many boutiques, local shops and fine resturants, as well as the highly popular 'Lincoln Christmas Market' and Lincolnshire County Showground events. Alternatively, take a drive to the coast with Cleethorpes, Maplethorpe, and Skegness all with lovely sandy beaches. Osgodby is an excellent base for exploring everything Lincolnshire has to offer.
