The small hamlet of Cwrt stands on the edge of the beautiful Happy Valley, located between the ancient town of Machynlleth and the picturesque coastal village of Aberdovey near the southern tip of the Snowdonia National Park. Aberdovey is renowned for its mild climate, sandy beaches, sailing and a championship 18-hole links golf course. The village is often referred to as an "artist's paradise" with its pastel coloured cottages, small shops, inns and excellent restaurants which specialise in local seafood, and it boasts some of the finest beaches in Britain, with four miles of golden sand-dune backed shoreline running north to Tywyn. The beaches are popular with sunbathers, swimmers, surfers and fishermen while the estuary attracts a wide range of watersports enthusiasts. The peaks of the Cader Idris and Aran Fawddwy ranges are within easy reach and are complemented by the charm of the Dovey and Dysynni valleys nearby. An ideal area for walkers, climbers and wildlife watchers, and a wonderful all-year-round location.

This is a superb location for a climbing, walking or cycling holiday, and close to wonderful sandy beaches, excellent golf courses, a variety of watersports and Mount Cader Idris, one of the most majestic mountains in Wales. Two bedrooms: 1 x double, 1 x twin. Ground floor bathroom with bath with shower over and telephone-style hand shower, basin and WC. Open plan living area with fitted kitchen, dining area and sitting area with log-effect gas stove. Boots/outdoor clothes hanging area.
Heating from log-effect gas stove in sitting area and portable electric fires in rest of rooms. Electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, flat screen TV, DVD, iPod dock. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Enclosed side garden with lawn, patio, garden furniture, BBQ and hillside views. Two dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 1 mile. Note: A MacDonalds Time-Share Park open to public with in/outdoor swimming pools, tennis, leisure centre, bars, restaurants etc 1 mile. Note: This property is on the main estuary road towards Aberdovey and as such some road noise may be heard from within the property.

Beautiful cottage that was a pleasure to come back to after a day's exploring, with all the facilities that we needed - we were sorry to leave. We were apprehensive about the proximity to the main road but found that it didn't bother us when we were there.
