Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant was the location for the successful film "The Englishman Who Went Up A Hill But Came Down A Mountain" and has two general stores, a newsagents, a post office, a butchers, two pubs and two cafes. It is surrounded by stunning countryside, providing walking trails for all abilities including the Berwyn Ridge Walk and a trail to the summit of the waterfall. Discover lovely Lakes Vyrnwy and Bala, Powis Castle and Gardens, medieval Shrewsbury and Chester, and the wonderful Snowdonia National Park.

Further afield, but still within easy reach from this Wales cottage, are Snowdonia, Shropshire, Powis Castle and even the historic city of Chester. This delightful Wales cottage is perfect for a romantic holiday, walking break or simply a chance to unwind in a rural location surrounded by stunning countryside.

Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Off road parking for 2 cars. Bike storage in rear porch. Gravel seating area with furniture, BBQ and lovely hill and mountain views. Two dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shops, pubs, restaurant 3 miles.

Peaceful location, friendly owner. Beautiful part of Wales, excellently placed for various days out. The cottage is a very high standard. It was modern but traditional and very cosy.
