Great location & well presented. Kind to provide milk & a welcoming welsh cakes. Will recommend in future.

  • "The only thing I can say is that the bed was slightly too firm for my liking but this is a superb accommodation."

Everything you could need, built to a good standard and all the equipment is decent quality. The radio didn’t work but we could use the tv or phones and the wifi was excellent. It’s quiet and tucked away but also just off the high street so you have access to all that Barmouth has to offer easily. I’m already planning my next stay.

Hi Leila, thank you for taking the time to review, and the 5 stars, much appreciated! Apologies the radio didn’t work, no signal unfortunately, more to use as a phone charger and a music Bluetooth speaker. Very happy to hear you liked the cottage and enjoyed your stay :) Hope to have you back in the near future, Tess x Property Owner

In the town itself so no need for a car , I travelled by bus from home . The cottage is lovely ! Cosy and comfortable ( sofa and bed especially ). Super-clean and nice and quiet . I had forgotten to bring a face flannel -provided ! A torch-also provided ! Nice to have a shower mat . A lovely welcome card from the owner , plus provisions to start my break . I liked all the information in the folder , plus guide books . The cottage is a credit to the owner , well thought out with a very high quality finish . I will definitely book again

It is in an ideal position in the town, but very quiet and relaxing. We loved it.

Hi Sue, thank you so much for taking the time to review, much appreciated. Lovely to read that you found the property as possibly one of the cleanest you have stayed in, a priority of mine to keep like that. We spent a week here (couple plus dog), the space is very well thought out and equipped - it had everything we needed and we had a lovely week. Despite being so centrally located, we found it to be very peaceful with no disturbance. We hope to return to see more of Barmouth and the surrounding area.

  • "Really quirky, well presented and well equipped cottage, with style and comfort."

It's not for those who are not very mobile and we had fun accessing the bed, which was extremely comfortable. If you want town centre, this is this place, but you wouldn't know it as it felt, and was, very quiet. Access to the cottage was a little challenging but all part of the experience. The description and notes were very accurate. We had a lovely long weekend doing things we like to do: walking, challenging climbs (Cadar Idris!), watching nature, paddling, boat trips, eating and enjoying wonderful views.

Hi Amanda, Thank you very much for taking the time to review, they do make a difference to securing future bookings. I'm so glad to hear you enjoyed your stay and found everything to be comfortable in the cottage and that you made good memories with all your activities . I hope to be able to welcome you back again one day, Tess :) Property Owner

  • "The owners have used the space cleverly."

It feels very spacious, although headroom is limited in the sleeping platform! The lighting and power points are fantastic. The outdoor space is just right. The location is perfect, very near the beach and restaurants, yet very quiet as it is set back. The parking permit was very welcome, as was the lovely card and goodies. The property was very clean too. We had a fantastic stay, helped by perfect weather.

Hi Maria, thank you for such a lovely review! So nice to read, am very pleased you enjoyed your time in Barmouth. • "Beautiful renovation to cottage."

The downside, futon cushion as bed, very uncomfortable and not fit for purpose, three nights no sleep. Lack of bedding so also cold, parking for car is five mins walk away, would be a concern in busy months. Poor customer service from Sykes not interested in my complaint referred to it as feedback.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Glan Meon is a much loved cottage and the Owner who, as you know, lives close by, would have been happy to rectify any issue had you raised it with her during your stay. It is of paramount importance to her that guests have an enjoyable stay and has taken your feedback on board and replaced the mattress. Property Owner
