Previous visitors' comments about The Firs:

A very comfortable and roomy cottage in a quiet and relaxing area of outstanding historical and scenic interest. The adjacent field with sheep and a horse grazing added to the rural charm, as did the active bird feeder in the garden.
Rev Penn, Bristol, September 2012

The owner and her three rescue dogs made us most welcome. The cottage is great for birdwatchers and those who love the country and are 'doggie' people - Sam our Black Lab loved it and has sulked for two weeks since we got back! Bishop's Castle is one of the friendliest local communities we have ever had the pleasure of staying near!
Mrs Clark, Poulton-le-Fylde, June 2012

It was peaceful and very rural. The weather was rather unpredictable but the picture window proved to be a wonderful place to sit and watch the rain passing. We liked the fact that our dog was made as welcome as we were and that we had the run of the field to exercise her when we weren't going farther afield.
Mr Wilcox, Barnsley, June 2012

Friendly atmosphere and a good location.
