Situated on an organic farm in wonderful rolling countryside down a single lane farm track of about 0.5 miles, these wonderful Aberaeron holiday cottages are perfect away-from-it-all properties just 3 miles from the scenic Welsh coastline. With private gardens for each cottage plus a large shared lawned area with play area and room to kick a football around, as well as a shared open games barn, you can join in all the fun with other guests and make new friends. Or, stroll down to the owners’ fishing lakes for a spot of quiet time. The detached farmhouse stands proud at the side of the courtyard, with the two other Aberaeron cottages part of a three-cottage stone barn conversion. Each Aberaeron cottage is superbly presented and equipped, and each retains many character features including open beams and stone walls. You may well wish to spend the whole of your holiday right here enjoying the fishing, countryside walks to the River Aeron and cycling opportunities (the properties are part of the Walkers and Cyclists Welcome schemes), or just enjoying the far-reaching countryside views and array of wild birds overhead. However, NT Llanerchaeron house and gardens are nearby, or within a short drive you can enjoy the picturesque seaside town of Aberaeron with its array of shops, tea rooms, pubs and, of course, the beach. For a quieter beach stroll, or to try some surfing, pop along to the secluded bay at Aberarth, a hidden gem. From these delightful Aberaeron holiday cottages, the variety of days out is endless and you will find something for all ages.
This superb detached farmhouse is excellently presented with open beams, stone walls, feature fireplaces with warming woodburners, an oil-fired cooking range, cartwheel light fitting and much more. The first floor bedrooms add to the quirkiness and charm, with one of the largest en-suites ever to be seen, a double room with an open tread stairway to a pretty little single mezzanine room, a further bedroom and family bathroom. With a large private patio area with furniture and BBQ, and a shared play area and games room, this Aberaeron cottage is wonderful for larger groups. A pretty Georgian coastal town located between Cardigan and Aberystwyth with a lovely pebble beach and beautiful sea views. There is an abundance of shops with unusual gifts, great eating places and pubs, and a quiet little harbour to enjoy watching the boats come and go. Aberaeron is perfectly positioned to enjoy boat trips and watersports, or coastal and countryside walks and cycle rides. Short drives to Cardigan to the south, or Aberystwyth to the north offer more shops, craft centres, museums and cinema or theatre visits. A wonderful Mid Wales location all year round.
