The cottage was amazing, with everything you needed for a relaxing and peaceful time away. The beds were so comfortable and the couch was beautiful. • "We really enjoyed our stay at Pheasant wood."

The moment when we arrived at the cottage, we have started to feel relaxed. We had a view overlooking the hills and fields and the outdoor jacuzzi had been our highlight in our trip and helped us to relax and enjoyed the outdoor calmness. The water is always hot and heated and it made such a pleasant enjoyment during the cold weather, that was how we did our final countdown and start of the new year 2022. Our two 3 and 6 years old kids thoroughly enjoyed their stay as well and they loved to stay and play in the jacuzzi - which gave us some time to just chill out and relax. The owner Tracy is also a lovely lady to chat to. Overall, highly recommend this beautiful homely cottage.

  • "The cottage is located in beautiful countryside."

The accommodation is spacious and very comfortable. The hot tub is fantastic. The flow of water upstairs is very low and this causes the temperature of the shower to be on a knife edge between cold and very hot. But a very nice place to spend a long weekend.

We are pleased to see that you have enjoyed staying with us. You will be delighted to know that we have recently replaced the shower since making us aware of this issue and would like to thank you for letting us know about this. Thank you very much for your comments and for taking the time to let us know your thoughts. Customer feedback is very important to help us continually improve our standards. Property Owner

They view from the hot tub was stunning. Every day we seen at least four red kites. The accommodation itself was very clean and well equipped. My husband loves to cook and everything you could of need was there even a rolling pin. The hot tub was very clean and hot and it was checked every day. Tracey and her husband were fab. I would definitely not recommend it as I don't want it to be fully booked when I want to go back. Beautiful place.

Tracey was welcoming and informative. The cottage was really clean and perfect for our stay. Hot tub was excellent. Views were stunning. A bigger wall mounted tv would be even better for those wet months when you can’t use the hot tub, some fairy lights on the patio would make it look magical too. A cover over the hot tub would mean it can be used in all weather and lights over the sign to the entrance of the cottages would make it easier to locate. All minor points mind as we will be returning. Maybe next time, Tracey will leave us a homemade Victoria sponge too! He He. Loved Pheasant Wood, we will be back.

  • "We had problems with the WiFi signal it came and went regularly."

Also the twin beds were a bit narrow for a man. The bathroom door wouldn’t lock, which was awkward with two couples sharing, and the shower was very weak. However, all in all it was good value for money, and the hot tub and location were very good.

Thank you for your feedback. With reference to the WIFI we are located in beautiful mid Wales where the speeds are good for checking social media/emails but not always great for streaming/downloading. The twin beds are of a standard size and most feedback from guests advise that they are comfortable and are located in a spacious room. The owners were not aware that the lock on the bathroom was not working, we appreciate that this could have caused some issues and we thank you for bringing it to our attention, if we were notified during your stay it was a problem they would have been only too happy to address this for you, it has since been looked at. A standard electric shower is fitted in the bathroom and this runs at a normal speed for its type, unfortunately it is not advertised as a power shower. The owner thanks you for your feedback and hopes the points you raised didn't impact your stay. They are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the hot tub and look forward to welcoming you back to Pheasant Wood soon. Property Owner

On arrival we found Welsh cakes, milk and a bottle of wine in the fridge! Such a nice surprise and kind of the owners. A high chair and cot were provided which made things easier. There were even boxes of toys under the stairs for the kids to play with. The hot tub was lovely and the surrounding views were fantastic. At night time we ventured out into the hot tub and it was so pretty with the fairy lights. The children also enjoyed seeing the chickens wandering around. Near by places to visit were Builth Wells, where we had Sunday lunch at The Lamb and we went swimming at the local leisure centre. Another day we visited Elan Valley where we found a stunning lake and dam. Great for walking or taking the bikes. We also had tea at the Hundred House Inn which was nice too and not too far to drive. Thank you for a great holiday, I’m sure we’ll visit again. Claire and Donny.

Tracey and Kevin were excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble. Extremely friendly people who I would imagine would go above and beyond for their guests (not that we needed anything extra as everything needed was already provided!) The location of this holiday cottage is stunning and the hosts had thought of everything I feel. The kitchen and house was really well thought out and equipped. The house is very family friendly and we all adored the hot tub! I have stayed in many a holiday property and encountered problems when trying to prepare meals for example as there are items missing which I required, not the case at pheasant wood! Everything I needed was right there to hand, this makes such a difference when your away, especially during the Christmas and new year period. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and they even had beautiful fluffy towels for us. Thank you so much Tracey and Kevin for a hassle free and memorable New Years break with our family. We look forward to hopefully seeing you again in the future, many thanks, the freeth family xx
