  • "There was a bad drain smell on entering the property."

The bedrooms had not been cleaned properly. There was a sign in the bedroom left over from Covid requesting beds be stripped before leaving. This I objected to having paid so much. The beds and bedding were of poor quality and not very comfortable. Drawers were messy and leaflets left over from the Summer still there. The fridge was not secure and could have been dangerous if a child had been there. Bulbs in the lamp not working. Pots and pans in a random cupboard hidden by a chair. The dining table wobbled badly and being of glass was a bit worrying. It felt like the property needed a complete overhaul. Very disappointing.

  • "A nice holiday apartment, in a convenient position, with a nice view over the bay!"

Unfortunately the weather wasn’t good, but that is nothing to do with the apartment, which with sunny weather would be very nice! The apartment was well equipped, bright and comfortable! The only slight downsides were that the front door locking system was jammed and needed a maintenance guy to fix it! This happened pretty quickly when reported! The down stairs shower was out of action due to a prior leak! That didn’t disrupt us as there was a good shower upstairs! Overall we enjoyed it and would go back!

  • "Wonderful place to stay."

The view across the harbour was beautiful and the town was 2 mins walk away. The train station was closed so we had no issue with that, not sure if that's permanent or temporary.

  • "Where do I start: The beds are so uncomfortable you can feel the springs through them."

We had to sleep on the floor. Also there is only 1 curtain in the main bedroom, so its really light at night. The train starts at 6am and then rumbles with its engine on for ages so it wakes you up. Which is probably why the ensuite is now part of the twin and bunk room, not the main double bedroom. But the rumble goes through the floor so it wakes you anyway. Black mould on the shower upstairs and the door doesn't close properly and so the mat gets wet. Some of the oven trays were greasy in the cupboard and three of the cooker knobs had been previously melted. The washing machine washed, but didn't spin, or dry. In fact when we put it on dry, it washed the clothes again! I did complain but was told that is was new and it was not to be fixed, as it was probably user error. The smell from under the stairs was very odd and when I used the hoover, it smelt like someone had been sick in it. The best thing about the house, was the very comfortable sofa. Rather ripped in places, but comfy. The view was nice, but as the house is on the main road into town, sitting out was too noisy from the traffic going past. Along with the night club not 550m away, sleeping is very disturbed in this house.

  • "No mention is made in the advert of the train station directly behind the property, I was woken up at around 5:45am every day by the noise of a diesel train engine idling in the station prior to its departure."

The light from the security lights in the station is enough to enable use of the ensuite toilet in the middle of the night without turning a light on. We were very disappointed to find one of the settees was damaged, the wood flooring is damaged in a number of areas. The cooker was so dirty we were concerned about using it. We had to clean the shelving unit in the front bedroom before it could be used. The CCTV unit in the living area is so noisy it could be heard above the TV.

  • "I felt that the amount of money we paid for the week £800+ did not reflect in the quality of the accommodation."

I expected a better standard of upkeep. The house looked tired and in need of a total overhaul. The train station was right behind the house, and the light from the station was very bright and shone into the kitchen, this was unfortunate if you were sat at the breakfast bar. The blinds in the house were not fit for purpose. They did nothing to keep out the light. In the front bedroom we were unable to sleep after the sun was up due to this. I imagine it was a sleek house when it was first rented out, but not so much now.

Even been near to the train station didn’t bother us. Apartment had everything we needed, beds comfortable, showers very good. Family all had a lovely relaxing holiday lovely to look out on the balcony across the marina, one thing we will miss. Will definitely be booking this apartment again next year.

Second bathroom had the shower out of operation due to tiling and refurb. We were not told about this and we always book lets with two bathrooms. There was no reduction for the inconvenience. We had been there before and mentioned no hairdryer but still no hairdryer you have to take your own. My family live in Pwllheli so we will book again but appreciate heads up on any work in progress.

We felt that the property would benefit from a deep clean and it’s a shame the double bedroom didn’t benefit from the en suite rather than the kids bedroom - minor gripes as overall it was good.

The parking is safe and secure and nearby. The down side was the noise of the train station, waking us up very early and the double bed was uncomfortable, so the settee came in handy. But despite this we had a lovely time, travelling around Snowdonia and Anglesey.

Generally it is well equipped but we were disappointed there was no DVD in the spec and when we arrived there was a DVD player but no means to connect to the TV. The TV only has freeview. the major irritation was disturbed sleep - the front bedroom is besides the pavement and a road where the locals like to demonstrate has noisily they can dave. The back bedroom is beside the railway line and the first train arrives with a lot of noise way before a normal holiday maker would want to be woken. The Llyn peninsula is gorgeous - it was our first time and we will be back - but to a quieter location

Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry that a DVD player had not been listed in the description - this has now been added. The TV does only have freeview as advertised. I hope you enjoyed your stay otherwise. Property Owner

The apartment is very handy for the town, 2 minutes away. We took our little dog with us and we found a lovely cafe in Pwllheli where he was allowed inside. It was a good base for visiting Snowdonia and Anglesey. We drove on the road through the mountains and stopped at the Snowden view point and took lots of photos.
