These two attractive, stone-built barn and granary conversions are set around a central courtyard and adjoin the owners’ house, amidst the most beautiful countryside in the foothills of Mount Cader Idris, only 4 minutes' walk from the shores of the magnificent Tal-y-Llyn Lake. These Tal y Llyn cottages retain much of their original character and charm but have been tastefully restored to provide comfortable homely accommodation, with woodburning stoves and exposed oak beams. The location of these Tal y Llyn properties is a paradise for climbers, walkers, fishermen and birdwatchers to explore the spectacular Cader Idris mountain range. You’re surrounded by stunning countryside with the magnificent Precipice Walk and the famous Coed-y-Brenin forest nearby, which offers some of Europe’s best mountain bike trails. Discover the Mawddach Estuary which John Ruskin said provided "one of the most sublime views in Europe”, the huge beach at Barmouth, perfect for all sorts of family fun and water sports, and the quaint market town of Dolgellau with its interesting shops, pubs and restaurants. Return to these charming Tal y Llyn cottages in their stunning location and soak up the magnificent mountain views.

The open plan living area has a kitchen and dining area with Welsh dresser, a delightful area to sit and dine before retiring to the sofa and relaxing in front of the woodburning stove. The double bedroom withstained glass windows has patio doors out onto a private patio area where you can sit, enjoy breakfast or read and while away the day. Note: This Tal y Llyn barn can be booked with Ref 7350, The Granary to accommodate 7 people.

A paradise for outdoor enthusiasts, the surrounding area is home to Mount Cader Idris, Wales' second most climbed peak at 2928 feet, and abounds in numerous climbing, walking and cycling opportunities, as well as boasting excellent fishing and being part of the Talyllyn narrow gauge railway.
