This wonderful cottage is all about the ambience and will appeal to couples, friends and families who enjoy spending time together.

Full of character and charm Ysgubor Penmaen boasts some wonderful features such as stripped wood flooring, pine joinery, ledge and brace doors, exposed beams and purlins and restored antique cast iron radiators.

The superb accommodation includes three well-appointed and stylish bedrooms, one of which is situated on the ground floor and with en-suite facilities makes it ideal if there is someone in the family who finds stairs a little challenging.

The wonderful sitting room is so welcoming with a warming woodburning stove for those chillier evenings and the high vaulted ceilings with exposed timbers and beams really extenuate the space.

You can’t help but be amazed by the galleried landing which connects the two upstairs bedrooms and bathroom.

A large French door leads out to the pretty cottage garden at the rear where those lovely countryside and farmland views can really be enjoyed.

The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped with a dining area, just perfect for a family breakfast or late supper with a stable door that leads out to the rear garden too!

Outside a crushed granite driveway provides ample parking and turning space and a garage provides ideal secure storage for bikes or watercraft.

Attached to this is a stone-built outbuilding which the owners have turned into a games room, fantastic for the children and family to enjoy some quality time together, rising to the challenge with a few games of darts or table tennis!

The gardens to the front, side and rear are all enclosed with dry stone walling and hazel hedging with various seating areas thoughtfully placed to take advantage of the sun through the day.

Wonderful views encompassing the Snowdonia mountain range can be enjoyed from the rear garden with a stone patio, ideally place off the kitchen so perfect for alfresco dining and the vegetable and herb garden at the side is great if you need a fresh sprinkling of thyme or rosemary on the barbecue!

The cottage is a great base for exploring the area, walks are in abundance and there are some lovely lakes just a short drive away.

A visit to Harlech castle is a must, and Harlech’s magnificent sandy beach is just over 2 miles away.

If anyone fancies a game of golf the famous Royal St. David's Golf Club, one of the finest links courses is just a short drive away too, while the whole of the Snowdonia National Park is just waiting to be explored.

Barmouth, Porthmadog, and the world-famous Italianate village of Portmeirion are all within easy access.
