The pretty village of Llanbedr quietly nestles between The Rhinogs, part of the Snowdonia Mountains, and the stunning golden beaches of the North Wales coastline, whilst also being situated next to the swiftly flowing River Artro. Nearby Barmouth offers the amazing Panorama Walk along the beautiful Mawddach Estuary providing breathtaking views which were described by John Ruskin as “the most sublime view in Europe” and also a harbour from which you can enjoy a ferry to Fairbourne for a ride on the miniature railway or a boat trip out to sea to try mackerel fishing. Previous visitors' comments about Y Bwthyn:

The cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Lovely quiet location which was easy to find. The owner had left us tea, coffee and milk with cakes on arrival, plenty of household bits, linen and towels. A great Xmas away!
Mr Church, Plymouth, December 2011

We loved the cosiness of the cottage. The valley was really scenic, we did a fair bit of walking straight from the door. A lovely part of Wales.
Mrs Thorman, Nottingham, October 2011

My brother and I thoroughly enjoyed our short break and were very impressed with the equipment provided in the kitchen. The buttered Welsh Cakes went down a treat on our arrival! We will definitely recommend Sykes Cottages to friends and family.
Mrs McQuiston, Gloucester, September 2011

The cottage felt homely rather than just somewhere to stay. It was well equipped; the kitchen had everything and the washer/dryer was a godsend. The location was beautiful and we were well located to travel north or south depending on where we wanted to go and what we wanted to see. King Arthur's Labyrinth at Collis Craft Centre was very interesting and fun with some beautiful craft shops too. There are fantastic views to be seen and beautiful beaches in Wales and we're already looking at booking again for next year.
