The small, pretty village of Llanwrthwl lies in beautiful countryside between Builth Wells and Rhayader, with just a small shop. For further amenities, the bustling market town of Rhayader, 2.5 miles away, has an abundance of small unusual shops, many eating establishments, pubs and a leisure complex, and cycle hire is available in the town. There is also a wonderful feeding station for Red Kites here, where they can be observed quite closely. For a more strenuous but most enjoyable day, try pony trekking through the area. Discover the fabulous Elan Valley Lakes close by, or visit Builth Wells, where the Royal Welsh Show is held annually, and find a wide variety of shops, tea rooms, pubs etc, as well as many craft shows and exhibitions throughout the year.

A sympathetic conversion of a former hayloft overlooking wonderful open countryside, this cosy apartment retains high ceilings and one very low beam, making it a unique and charming romantic retreat. The wonderful Wye Valley Walk runs directly past the property offering beautiful scenery and walks from the doorstep. The beautiful Elan Valley Lakes are nearby, and there is wonderful scenery all around. Rhayader and Builth Wells are within easy reach, and offer shops, pubs, tea rooms and restaurants. This wonderful part of Wales offers something for everyone and this superb apartment is the perfect base to make the most of the area.
