Great location, close to lots of nice day trips and places. Lovely pub in Llanbedr village great food and beer. This Cottage was absolutely perfect for our young family, super comfortable beds, great kitchen kitted out with all we needed and the hot tub was the best we've ever had- clean, big and ready on arrival. Nothing too much for our host who made us so welcome. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone!

Everything you need is there + some extras e.g. washing machine, dishwasher. Hosts were very friendly and welcoming. Hot tub is perfect to relax after a long day hiking in the hills. Location is stunning, couple minutes to the beach which has to be one of the best in Britain, golden soft sand that stretches for miles. Few different towns within a short drive, some a little bit further but the drive is on lovely country roads with stunning views. Would highly recommend. Thankyou

  • "Isalt was in lovely quiet surroundings on an active farm."

The cottage was a little tired in some areas, however had full amenities and a gorgeous hot tub, ideal for late evening soaks. The most uncomfortable aspect was the double bed in the main room. Whilst it looks very grand on entrance, the mattress was uncomfortably soft with little suport and the bedframe on the right had collapsed. It wasn't until we looked at the bed did we realise 5 of the slats were indeed on the floor and needed to be re-built. Due to how the bed was originally constructed, the slats kept slipping out. This resulted in my husband buying an airbed to sleep on. The TWIN room is only ideal for small juniors. Both my children aged 11/ 14 were too long for both child framed beds The owners were very friendly and hospitable, however we felt our concerns regarding the bed were dismissed, reporting '' the mattress is new''. Whilst, it was a lovely interesting cottage and we loved the area, we wouldn't unfortunately return to Isalt.

It is a shame we were not made aware of the on going slats situation. As you had only mentioned this within 12 hours of your arrival. And was told they had been replaced in the right position. If we were aware of it being on going, we could of looked at the bed. As we did after you left, and found a wood cross member had been broken. By previous guests. And this has now been fixed. The beds in the twin room are both single with single mattress. Property Owner

Every effort had been made by the owner to make it festive and homely. The cottage is really well equipped and all kitchen utensils etc were very good quality. The shower was hot and powerful. My small negative….and it is small is that I would either prefer a polyester duvet or a thicker cover over the down as occasionally the feather ends poked through…..like I say it’s a minor thing. The hot tub was amazing and was very well used. I would definitely recommend this cottage and will be returning again myself.

The nice touches of the Christmas decorations were much appreciated and we managed to cook a full Christmas dinner in the kitchen. The kitchen itself had everything we needed for our weeks stay over the holiday period. We only used one of the bedrooms ,however the double bed we found to be very comfortable. The living accommodation was spacious enough for the two of us and our dog Flora who also enjoyed her getaway in Wales. A very Enjoyable stay in a lovely cottage.

  • "The property is a nice size, with a nice living space and dining area."

The recliner chairs were a great plus we loved those. We loved that we could park the car outside the property. The bedroom was lovely size. The bathroom was nice but the floor was very creaky which echoed round the whole cottage. On arrival it was a shame we wasn’t greeted by the host. We then didn’t see/ get introduced to the host until day 3 which was disappointing as it would have been nice to meet her sooner and also would have been useful to know where we could find her if we needed anything. There were no instructions on how to use anything in the property. Having been to lots of Airbnb’s in the past it is normal for there to be some instructions on how to use the tv, heating, etc and also there was no instructions on how the bins/ recycling work in the property. Every area is different so it is helpful to be informed. It was disappointing that on the 1st night the hot tub was not ready. I had messaged the host prior to arrival to ensure the hot tub would be ready and I was ensured it would be. Considering when we arrived it was peak of a fortnight of beautiful weather in Wales it was a shame that the outside furniture was dirty when we arrived and also that the umbrella was also broken. We let the host know this and she ordered a new one but this was no use to us as it didn’t arrive in time. I know the property was self catering but in every self catering property I’ve visited we have had spare bin bags, extra toilet roll and salt and pepper. This property didn’t have any of these things. They are very cheap things to improve on but make all the difference to your guests stay. As the property is self catering it is a shame the fridge is not bigger. We had done a food shop for our whole week at the cottage and struggled to fit it all in the tiny fridge. I also found the fridge not to work that great. Some of our food went off whilst in the fridge (even though the food was still in date) and also the opposite too some of our drinks came out frozen. We ensured that the fridge temperature was always on 3 so it was not that. The double bedroom duvet was a feather one which almost instantly brought me out in a rash so we had to use the two single duvets in the twin room. It was a shame there wasn’t a spare normal double duvet somewhere we could use. The mattress was also not the most comfortable and it seemed to dip in the middle. We had a nice week exploring Wales and using the cottage as a base. The cottage had beautiful views of the sunset in the evening. And when the hot tub was working it was lovely to sit out there and watch it.

This made me feel reassured what with the current covid 19 situation. We were allowed to access the property straight away and as soon as we entered the accommodation we were blown away with the lay out and attention paid to making it comfortable. Everything looked really clean. Wifi access codes were provided for 2 appliances per code. Plenty of room for the 4 of us in our party. Fresh eggs were available when we needed them as the owners have about 24 hens on site that produce free range eggs ( Just don't leave the front door open otherwise you have feathered house guests) We used the Hot tub on the second night and it was pure bliss. Really warm and the jets did the job of relaxing the muscles. Overall this was just an amazing weeks break but it felt like home. The owners are really friendly and the view of Shell island is just breathtaking. Would highly recommend and will definitely be booking another visit soon. If there is one thing that we wish we could change it was the Freezer. The freezer just wasn't big enough to store anything other than a bag of ice, Due to the current situation there aren't many places open that can deliver takeaway and most of the local restaurants are still closed so needed to shop at tescos in Porthmadog for fresh produce.

Had to clean everything. The cottage is attached to a cows shed and cows bang on the walls and wake you up at night. Yhe smell of cows poo and cows feed is unbearable. The owners have no sense of hospitality, nothing to greet you and they didn’t even introduce themselves. The owners dog kept pooping in the garden and eating my dog food. No coffee or milk on arrival. The loo downstairs is directly facing the cows shed. The window is black with cows poo. Flies everywhere and you couldn’t open the windows because of the smell. I strongly suggest you let people know about all these issues. The kitchen was filthy, all the drawers and shelves were greasy. The hot tub wasn’t pleasing because the smell was disgusting. So disappointed with the customer service and the owners reaction. I left two days earlier. I won’t book again with Sykes. Really bad experience.
