The small village of Llandinam stands beside the River Severn and is steeped in history from even before Roman times. Today, the village has a shop and is surrounded by superb countryside - perfect for walking, cycling, fishing, birdwatching and kite feeding. Just 5 miles away is the historic town of Llanidloes, also built on the banks of the River Severn. It boasts a variety of architecture including timber-framed black and white houses, with the impressive old market hall being its finest example. There is a good choice of amenities in the town, including antique shops, pubs, restaurants and scenic riverside walks. The renowned beauty spots of Llyn Clywedog, with its 236ft dam, and Hafren Forest, offering sailing and fabulous scenery, are both close by.

The Property

Llandinam 3 miles. An attractive barn conversion adjoining the owners’ 19th Century stone and brick farmhouse, surrounded by rolling countryside and stunning views. Providing well equipped, comfortable accommodation, including a modern kitchen diner and cosy bedrooms with sloping ceilings, The Crwb is ideal for enjoying a family holiday or romantic break. The Crwb is within a hundred yards of the Severn Way National Trail and just off Route 81 of the National Cycle Network, also making it the perfect location for those seeking a more active holiday. Walking, cycling, fishing, bird watching and great on and off road motorcycling are all available close by. Enjoy trips to the Centre for Alternative Technology, Hafren Forest and Lake Clywedog, or kite feeding at Rhayader, while the delightful beaches of Aberdovey are less than an hour by car.

Accommodation

Two bedrooms: 1 x kingsize double with colour TV (direct feed from Sky box in sitting room), 1 x twin (zip-link beds, can be made up as a super kingsize double by prior arrangement) with colour TV (no TV reception, for video use only). Ground floor shower room with shower, basin and WC. Fitted kitchen with dining area and French windows to patio. Cosy sitting room.

Note: The owners have 2 dogs as well as free range chickens & at certain times of the year there is livestock in the surrounding fields so please ensure dogs are kept under control at all times.
