    “The location on the Welsh/English ...”
    The location on the Welsh/English border is perfect for visiting so many places, and walks. The house itself we found spacious, warm (when required,) comfortable, and well appointed. It was good to have two living rooms - with wood burners - for those that don't want to watch TV and the kitchen was large and well equipped. The historic village of Churchstoke was originally mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1086, while today it is a quiet village surrounded by scenic countryside, on the English/Welsh border. It boasts a Tuffins supermarket, two pubs and an historic church. A few miles away, Montgomery is a small town steeped in history, with many timber-framed houses, cobbled streets and the ruins of a 13th century hill-top castle which provides panoramic views over Wales. There are more than a dozen individual shops and a good variety of pubs and restaurants A few miles to south is the historic market town of Bishop's Castle, an excellent place for a day or night out with its excellent pubs, live music and festivals throughout the year. This whole border region is renowned for its wonderful scenic countryside and excellent walks.
