Location: Llanegryn

Tywyn 4 miles; Aberdovey 8 miles.

Llanegryn is a small, quiet village located in the beautiful Dysynni Valley, in the south of the Snowdonia National Park. Llanegryn is only 4 miles from the bustling coastal town of Tywyn, home of the wonderful Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Steam Railway, whose 7 mile track travels along one of the most majestic settings in the UK, including the stunning Talyllyn Lake which lies at the foot of Mount Cader Idris (2899’). Tywyn’s long sandy beach is a favourite for families and is very popular for water sports, especially surfing. A further 4 miles away is the charming seaside village of Aberdovey with its quiet streets and squares of houses behind its busy seafront; the wide beach is renowned for sailing, sailboarding, fishing, boat trips and an excellent 18 hole championship golf course.

Previous visitors' comments about Minffordd Cottage:

The cottage had lovely exposed beams, very good living room furnishings, a lovely conservatory and was set in a nice peaceful location. There was also some nice local produce.
Mr Radcliffe, Chelmsford, August 2011

The area is one of the most beautiful in the UK. Within 10 minutes of the cottage you could be walking along side of a waterfall in Snowdonia, on a sandy beach or sitting in a beer garden with a stunning view over a lake with mountain views.
Mr Taylor, Northampton, April 2010

The cottage was fantastic, better than we expected. Lovely ambiance, well equipped, had everything that we needed. Snowdonia is also very beautiful, and despite the rain, there were so many things that we were able do. The ride on the steam train, the walks, the beaches, and the colours of the hills and meadows made more vibrant in the rain, waking up to the sounds of sheep baaing, doing things as a family, all give us happy memories that we will always treasure. We will certainly inform our friends and families of our experience and we hope to come back again.
Dr Samah, Cambridge, April 2010
