  • "What a little gem!"

My husband and I have just been to clear view lodge and we couldn’t of asked for anymore, lovely spacious accommodation, extremely clean, everything you could really wish for, spectacular view from the lovely veranda, the lodge is situated on a caravan park, Parkdean resorts, but you are so high up you literally hear nothing except the waves on the shore. We will definitely be returning, there really is nothing not to like. Thank you to the owners, you have a lovely lodge!

  • "An amazing property with the best view, although on a busy caravan site Clearview is tucked away in the top corner so very quiet and private."

There is lots of space and all the facilities you need, the beds are also comfy. We will definitely be staying again!

It was more like 15mins ! On-site facilities were awful !

  • "Lovely lodge."

Very spacious and light and the sea view was gorgeous. Would come back so that's a good sign.

  • "The Lodge is in a wonderful peaceful position overlooking the sea, we were expecting it to be steep but unless you are young or very fit you do need to drive everywhere."

This was not made clear until after we booked. There was plenty of hot water and the living area is truly a home from home.

  • "This was a birthday gift for my sister and her husband."

A surprise so booking was handled secretly. Contact with the owner was polite and courteous and the property outstanding. Views amazing and a great time we had. We have used Sykes on a couple of occasions now and always found properties chosen to be perfect for our vacations

  • "The property was very comfortable and spacious everything was provided for a self catering holiday."

The views were amazing. The downside was the site itself there was a lot of major work going on and the facilities were not open including places to eat. The area is outstanding and a walkers paradise. Will definitely recommend to friends and family who want a quiet relaxing holiday. It is not suitable for families out of season.

  • "This is a beautiful location with spectacular views over the bay and is an ideal location if you want a quiet relaxing holiday."

The lodge is perfectly fitted out with comfortable furniture and if the weather is good its ideal to sit our with your book or just relaxing in the sun. Otherwise Borth is a lovely location with a beautiful long beach at the headland or if you just want to explore Wales with its steam railways and mystic mountains as a backdrop.

  • "Fantastic quiet position with amazing Views, each direction captured a different view from sea, mountains to forestry."

The lodge was very comfortable with plenty of room for our family of four, the children shared a room so one bedroom was unused. Great facilities, didn't use the washing machine or microwave.Could do with baking trays and teatowels, also larger bath towels would be ideal. Beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water. Wonderful having breakfast with a view each morning! We could even hear the sea, birds and sheep while on the terrace in the evenings. Used the lodge as a base to explore mid and north wales so didn't use the park facilities.

  • "The lodge is very modern, spacious and comfortable with a real homely feeling."

As other guests have stated, with the lodge being situated literally at the top of the site, the views of the sea and surrounding hills and countryside are great, providing an almost panoramic view. If the walk uphill to the lodge doesn't keep you fit enough you can always use the on-site pool, situated near the on-site shop, restaurant and reception. There are TVs in each bedroom but as just the two of us, the one in lounge was enough. The owners, though on holiday themselves, took the trouble to email to make sure everything was ok for us and Molly their cleaner had left us a lovely welcoming note on our arrival. Borth seems to be a great place for families attracted by its extensive beach but we preferred to use it as a base to tour from, visiting lots of the other coastal villages up and down the coast line as well as some in-land attractions. New Quay with it's pretty harbour and Aberaeron with it's wonderfully painted Georgian houses. The RSPB reserve at Ynys-Hir is a wonderful day out if you like the outdoors and wildlife spotting, would just make sure to take your own provisions for lunch as their offering was limited and pricey. The university town of Aberystwyth with all the usual high street shops, supermarkets and restaurants, was another good day out. On the day we visited they had an artisan street market selling lots of locally produced goodies and a brass band to entertain you while shopping. The Butterfly Farm and the walks round the Rheidol Reservoir were also interesting places to visit. All in all great accommodation, lots to do and see in the area even when the weather wasn't at its best.

  • "The lodge was really luxurious, and exceeded our expectations."

The views from the lodge and veranda over the sea were stunning. We were able to watch a glorious sunset one evening after a lovely day. Sadly the weather over the week wasn't all that good for us, so the indoor pool on the holiday park got lots of use. The flume was a firm favourite with my grandson. Pleased that we decided to book the hot tub option, we all thoroughly enjoyed it.

The owners welcoming emails with directions were detailed and clear. I took my elderly mother for a weeks holiday here and she loved it. We will definitely be returning.
