The historic village of Churchstoke was originally mentioned in the Domesday Book in 1086, while today it is a thriving community surrounded by scenic countryside, on the English/Welsh border. It boasts a Tuffins supermarket, two pubs and an historic church. A few miles away, Montgomery is a small town steeped in history, with many timber-framed houses, cobbled streets and the ruins of a 13th century hill-top castle which provides panoramic views over Wales. There are more than a dozen individual shops and a good variety of pubs and restaurants, which make Montgomery a pleasant place for a day or night out. This whole border region is renowned for its wonderful scenic countryside and excellent walks.

Guests also enjoy shared use of an external games room with pool table. The area around this Churchstoke cottage is renowned for its scenic countryside, ideal for wonderful walks along Offa’s Dyke and all the surrounding hills.
