A "chocolate box" thatched cottage with wonderful character, this 16th century Lampeter holiday cottage is located in beautiful countryside in Creuddyn Bridge just 8 miles from the Cardiganshire coastline. This picturesque cottage near Lampeter offers spacious living accommodation and five beautifully appointed bedrooms for a perfect family holiday. With split-level accommodation, the character of this quirky Lampeter thatched cottage runs throughout, with curved walls in two bedrooms, wonderful solid wood floors and a high vaulted beamed ceiling in the spacious sitting room, showing the wonderful thatched roof interior. The warming woodburner makes this sumptuous room feel very cosy on cooler nights while you all enjoy a meal round the large dining table or maybe some family fun playing board games. With two bathrooms and two cloakrooms the facilities in this Lampeter cottage are ideal for larger groups. The garden area is as delightful as the Lampeter cottage itself, with a large lawned area surrounded by mature shrubs, a lovely decked patio to enjoy a quiet drink in the summer sunshine and a 7-seater hot tub to enjoy all year round. You have the private use of a large fishing lake for the fishermen in your party to enjoy while others relax with them in these superbly peaceful surroundings. The Celtic Fishing Resort next door to this Lampeter cottage offers a further six fishing lakes, a very well stocked fishing shop hiring out rods and selling all that fishermen will require, plus a bar with veranda overlooking one of the lakes where you can meet the locals to compare your catches at the end of the day. With all this, you may not venture away from this wonderful Lampeter cottage but then you would miss all this beautiful part of Wales has to offer, including the pretty Georgian harbour in Aberaeron and its unique shops, tea rooms and restaurants, the chance to see dolphins on the regular boat trips from New Quay or the narrow gauge railway from Aberystwyth to Devils' Bridge.
