A very smart, detached cottage, privately located in the pretty Morayshire village of Archiestown, in the heart of Speyside.

Lovingly presented throughout with lots of space, this Moray cottage is ideal for a family or a group of friends who will appreciate the comfort, style and facilities of this conveniently situated Highland cottage.

With bright accommodation across two floors, there are four generous bedrooms, with the two on the first floor benefiting from en-suite facilities.

The open plan living area in this Archiestown cottage is spacious and welcoming, and has a large, bespoke kitchen with central island and dining area leading to the sitting area, with its sumptuous seating, warming woodburner and external door to the decked patio.

The garden to the rear of this Archietown cottage is quiet and private, and provides a perfect place to relax with a pre-dinner glass of wine on a balmy summer evening.

Archiestown is a small village with a laid back atmosphere and good local services, and is well positioned for visiting the wider area, including the Cairngorms National Park.

Aberlour is just seven miles away and offers enhanced facilities including a pretty park and the famous Packhorse Bridge, and is surrounded by the distilleries of the Malt Whisky Trail.

Travel northwards to the Moray Firth coast and visit the quaint little fishing villages dotted along the shore, where you may even be lucky enough to spot the famous Moray Firth Dolphins.

Some will simply prefer to walk the popular Speyside Way and see the beauty of the area on foot, and for fisherman, the River Spey offers excellent opportunities, with permits available locally.

Set in an area rich in things to see and do, this Archiestown cottage is a wonderful home from home.

About the location

ARCHIESTOWN

Elgin 17 miles; Grantown-on-Spey 24 miles.

Archiestown is a pretty and tranquil village located in beautiful Morayshire to the north of the River Spey and is one of the highest villages in Moray. In the centre of the village is a pretty tree-lined square, which is a designated conservation area, and the Archiestown Hotel occupies a corner location on the square. Archiestown is a very well kept and friendly village that has won the Moray ‘village in bloom’ competition on many occasions. The village is home to a shop, Post Office and local craft outlets, while the village’s hotel houses a cosy pub and popular restaurant. Archiestown is situated on the Malt Whisky Trail, with the famous Macallan Distillery to the east and the Cardhu Distillery to the west. Being in the heart of Speyside, Archiestown is an excellent location for touring this general area, including the nearby villages and towns. Nearby Aberlour is not only famous for its distillery, but is also home to the Walkers Shortbread factory and is a great location for some fishing too!
