Deveron Valley Cottages

These six separate holiday properties offer comfortable accommodation in over eleven acres of stunning rolling countryside in peaceful North Aberdeenshire. Comprised of three converted stone buildings and three modern log cabins (two of which are set in private woodland), there is something here for all visitors. Access to the properties is by a private lane just off the A97, which makes these cottages ideal as a touring base for discovering the spectacular north of Scotland and Moray Coast. Each property is well-equipped and comes with a woodburning stove and a full supply of logs to keep you warm and cosy, no matter what the weather is doing outside. Local towns and villages offer wonderful opportunities to discover the region, plus of course, no holiday here would be complete without a trip to a local whisky distillery, and some of you may even want to venture along the Malt Whisky Trail to fully immerse yourself in the local tipple! The Moray Coast is just a short drive to the north where you will find delightful fishing villages, friendly market towns and the historic town of Elgin. A fantastic location for a holiday that will live long in the memory.

The property

Deveron Lodge is a spacious log cabin in beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside.

Set over two floors, there are two bedrooms with an additional single bed on the mezzanine level.

From the first floor, you can step out onto a large balcony and look across stunning rolling hills.

On the ground floor is a large open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen and a fabulous woodburning stove.

A decked area and private lawned garden with furniture provide a peaceful spot to relax after a day out and about.

BRIDGE OF MARNOCH

The small hamlet of Bridge of Marnoch sits on the River Deveron in the beautiful countryside of the north of Scotland. The nearest amenities are to be found in the village of Aberchirder (known locally as Foggieloan) which is just a three mile drive and is home to a couple of pubs and a selection of shops in a market square. Just nine miles away is the pretty town of Huntly is located in Speyside, and is surrounded by rolling Scottish hills and open fields. The town has an interesting history, and the Standing Stones of Strathbogie lie in the centre of Huntly just beside the Brander Museum which is well worth a visit. The whole area forms part of the famous Whisky Trail and there are seven working distilleries for those interested in sampling a true taste of Scotland! Apart from whisky there are excellent hotels and pubs to appreciate, and Huntly also boasts an 18 hole golf course. Head west to Keith, a pretty town with an excellent selection of shops and known as the gateway to the 'Malt Whisky Trail' and home to Scotland's oldest working malt whisky distillery.
