Garden Studio

From arrival we knew The Garden Studio was a great choice .

We were welcomed by the owners Sheila and Alan who are such lovely people and explained everything clearly and were always around if we needed them. Their property is truly remarkable and set in a beautiful area with incredible views all around. The Garden Studio itself is immaculate throughout and caters for every need including a hot tub which we, of course, used. We have stayed in many properties in our travels but have to say this is the best so far. Thank you to Sheila and Alan, you have a wee gem!

There are not enough words to describe how wonderful and peaceful the Garden Studio is.

Sheila and Allan are the most welcoming hosts and left us an amazing welcome pack. They have created a magnificent self contained accommodation. The layout is perfect, bed and sofa are super comfortable and a great amount of thought has been made to ensure that the kitchen, bathroom, utility room and bedroom has every single utensil and piece of equipment you will ever need. The views from the patio and hot tub are incredible on either a sunny or rainy day. The Garden Studio is simply perfect.

Allen and Shelia have a fantastic place.

The accommodation was comfy and warm. Facilities provided went above and beyond anywhere I have stayed before. The hot tub was amazing and the views outstanding, especially on a dark skies night in the hot tub! Absolutely will be back.

Already booked to go back for the 6th time, need I say more.

A lovely couple welcomed us on arrival,an interesting story that they built the lodge during lockdown.

A 5 year old building, it felt like we were walking into a brand new home as the decoration and cleanliness was impeccable.I’m in the trade and found his workmanship exemplary.A two day break we had, beautiful views whilst relaxing in the hot tub, excellent little quirks made it feel homely. Lovely welcome pack. We live 20 mins away so know the area. Didn’t want to go too far as a baby grandson was imminent. Found this gem and we will definitely be returning.. we love the place.

We have just booked to return to this wonderful studio again.

It is stunning, Alan, you have built our favourite cottage in the North of Scotland. Sheila is the perfect host, always ready to help. Nothing seems too much trouble, and a lovely smile as well. Our only regret was we had to leave a day early due to the storm. So much to do nearby. Many NT castles and the coast with memories of Local Hero. Highly recommended.

Your quick action in contacting the hospital and accompanying us there meant a great deal, and what could have been a stressful moment turned into a memory we’ll always treasure.

I had the best holiday here, everything was perfect, the owners were great, the location is brilliant with plenty of walks and stunning nature, on a clear night, the stars are absolutely amazing due to the low light pollution.

I'll definitely be booking again (probably within the next few months) and would 100% recommend this place.

By far the best we have stayed in. It was spotlessly clean and had everything in the kitchen you could possibly need. We had a lovely welcome basket on arrival. The owners were lovely and friendly and welcomed us on arrival and again when we left. Perfect

What a beautiful place this was to stay, both the facilities and the surrounding area were amazing.

The Garden studio had everything you need and much more for a relaxing break away. Lovely modern decor, very clean and lots of utensils for cooking. The welcome package was great especially the homemade fudge which was quickly eaten.

Stunning, from arriving we were met and welcomed by our friendly hosts.

The property is immaculate, and the welcomed box of bread, milk, butter and homemade fudge was a very nice surprise. The views from the patio and from the relaxing hot tub over Bennachie hill in the distance is beautiful. Will 100% recommend garden studio to friends and family, we will definitely be back as 1 week simply wasn't long enough.

What a truly amazing place. Sheila & Allan made us feel so welcome. They clearly take pride in the property & rightly so. They seem to have thought of everything. There was even an air fryer! The studio was spotlessly clean, cosy and had such amazing views. The hot tub was a welcome addition at the end of a day of exploring. Whenever we put any used towels in the laundry basket, they were instantly washed and replaced. This is a real gem of a find - perfect for two people. Numerous castles in the area and walking routes. Coast not far away and Aberdeen too. Just a really brilliant stay.

Just wow it was an amazing property had everything you needed and more.

The lovely little goodies were very welcome. The home made fudge was lovely. The outside matched the inside very clean and tidy plus hot tub was great. Sheila and Allan were lovely. Clean, comfortable with everything you need for a perfect holiday. We had a very peaceful week enjoying the view from the terrace in the sunshine and venturing out occasionally to enjoy the lovely countryside. I would highly recommend this lovely Garden Studio.

We have stayed in many self catering properties and 'The Garden Studio' was absolutely wonderful.

It certainly had so many extras which you would not expect. It really felt so much like a home from home. The standard of cleanliness was excellent. The hosts are very welcoming and helpful. Will definately be having a return visit.

The property is located just outside Insch within rolling countryside surrounded by open farm land.

The facilities are immaculate and the property is laid out well. There is a separate laundry room attached to the property and includes the use of the hot tub. You will be pleasantly surprised by the welcome pack which included home made fudge, bread, milk, cookies and butter, tea and coffee were also on hand so you can enjoy a relaxing cuppa before unpacking. Sheila and Allan the hosts were wonderful and welcoming were on hand if needed for any queries. This property is a credit to them both and won’t be disappointed if you choose to stay here.

What a wonderful stay at the 'Garden Studio', placed in the quiet countryside of Aberdeenshire it did not disappoint.

The cottage was spotless, held everything we needed for our stay, with the lovely welcome pack - fudge amazing to the wonderful welcome from Sheila and Allan. Highly recommended.

Beautiful space for a couple.

The property was immaculate and spotlessly clean. A real tribute to the owners care and hard work. Beautiful location just a 20 minute walk from the lovely village of Insch. Would love to return. The only thing that would make it better would be an EV charger.

We had a wonderful stay at Garden Cottage.

It had everything we needed and the added luxury of a hot tub, just what was required after a long cycle ride or a day hiking in the mountains. It's central location helped us explore the area, and if required we could have popped down to the village of Insch to catch a train to Aberdeen (but it never rained so we didn't utilise this option). I will definitely consider returning here for another week to explore more pockets and hidden treats in Aberdeenshire and Morayshire.

Can't think of anything else the Garden Studio requires to enhance our stay.

That along with the warm reception that we always get makes it first class.

Just back from a short break away from home , and as you drive up to the property it’s a big wow from there onwards , the view is amazing , the lodge is something else , and when you walk inside the wow never stops , it’s set out so beautiful, and has everything you could possibly want , and the welcome pack on top just made it , the owners came and introduced themselves, and let us know they were there if we needed them , and never seen them again , they just left us toget on with our stay , the hot tub was a great big plus, and the Xmas lights around the garden at night was lovely, just couldn’t wish for anything better , definitely worth every penny ,

The accommodation was well equipped, beautifully furnished, cosy, clean and tidy. It was very relaxing to spend our afternoons sitting on the porch or in the hot tub and enjoy the views to the nearby hills of Bennachie and Dunnydeer. We found the location to be very convenient for visiting the local historical towns and attractions. Owners Sheila and Allen were very welcoming and included a basket of tasty treats in the kitchen on our arrival. We whole heartedly recommend Garden Studio!!!

We've never stayed anywhere with as many extras. Everything you could possibly need and more...The owner has put in everything she would expect in a holiday home, and it shows. Lovely cosy studio. Great views. Super comfortable. It snells fresh as soon as you open the door. Lovely, bright and warm. Luxury toiletries. Plenty of lovely fluffy towels. Great base for exploring the area. The owners are lovely. Ultimate luxury..... absolutely perfect in every way.

What a wonderful hideaway.

Can not fault anything regarding the Garden Studio, everything has been thought of. It is situated excellently for visiting the Cairngorms, especially Balmoral and Ballater. Thank you Sheila and Allan for the welcome package and for making a memorable Scottish stay.

This is a really special property.

Very clean. Very well maintained. Very well appointed. We had a lovely time finding nice walks during the day and coming home to soak in the hot tub with its excellent views.

This is the best cottage we have stayed in by far, the quality of the build and the little thoughtful touches were outstanding.

Super clean and a lovely welcome pack including some home-made fudge which was superb. Lovely views and surrounding area. Would love to return and would highly recommend.

We travelled from Stoke-on-Trent and honestly, it was so worth the 400+ mile drive each way. The whole time spent at the property we couldn’t believe we had found somewhere so perfect that felt so much like home. Spent most of the week deciding when we’re coming back and it took us a whole 10 hours from leaving to book up with Sheila and Allan again! Thank you so much to both of you for an amazing week away! Allen and Sheila have created a wonderful little place to stay with the property really well equipped. It was very clean and tidy with some great extras left too.

Beautiful house in a lovely setting. We thoroughly enjoyed and would highly recommended.

We had a wonderful time during our stay that was made even better by how lovely the owners were.

We had some trouble getting to the property during some bad weather but Alan and Sheila went above and beyond to assist us and make sure we had a brilliant stay. Would absolutely rebook and recommend to others, the cabin itself was nicely decorated and very clean.

Garden studio is by far one of the best hot tub getaways I have ever been on, it was so clean comfortable, the care package on arrival was just perfect, the house was so clean aswell and the hot tub was perfect to just sit in the middle of nowhere and watch the world go by, also Allan and Sheila are just the nicest people available if you need anything, and Sheila’s fudge is to die for and if your wanting a good steak then I would recommend the special evening menu from porterhouse steak house in Inverurie Thank you again for a wonderful start for 2024 Sam and Stephen

Me and my partner went to Garden studio for a relaxing weekend and we were absolutely baffled at how clean, well kept, exquisitely decorated the place was!

The owners also gave us a basket full of goodies including some delicious home made toffee fudge (which also included the recipe which both me and my partner found absolutely amazing!). The hot tub was clean and warm with beautiful scenery to enjoy while relaxing. The place provided all the basic amenities including spices and toilet roll and towels, fluffy bathrobes and flip flops. The whole place also had an amazing floral scent when we first walked in and Sheila and her husband (the owners), took the time to welcome us and make us feel at home and told us how to use the hut tub and were available in case we needed anything across the duration of our stay. Overall an amazing experience!

My partner and I came away for my birthday and we had the best time. So peaceful and relaxing and remarkably clean. Sheila and Allan were lovely and even left us a wee welcome basket. Can’t wait for our next stay.

The place is absolutely spotless. Great hot tub with slippers and dressing gowns provided catering for our every need I was having a coffee one morning and spotted deers passing in the cornfield. I’d give this property more than 10/10 you won’t be disappointed x

Lovely presented studio in a rural setting with stunning views.

Ideal base from which to tour moray coast , east coast , and rural Aberdeenshire. The owners live adjacent and are welcoming but not intrusive ,and obviously take great pride in the accommodation ( rightly so) which is immaculately presented .

The Garden Studio is a home away from home.

Me and my partner stayed for a week and cannot fault a single thing. The property was spotless and smelt so nice and clean. Sheila and Allan were so lovely and were there if we needed any help. The hot tub was an added extra!! It was an 8 hour drive for us so not sure if we will be going this far again, but if we do, The Garden Studio is definitely where we will come. Can’t recommend the property/owners enough!

Excellent property very clean and everything you could want both inside and out, and a nice welcome pack.

The views were super from the patio and hot tub and the owners were lovely. I would give it more stars if I could, this is a short review but there is nothing to complain about and you can't improve on perfect. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Left a basket of food as well which was so thoughtful. Fully equipped kitchen, beautiful views, cosy wee cottage, so clean and pleasant and definitely a lot of thought and detail have been put into this home, I could not recommend this place more! I booked this holiday for my parents, they absolutely loved it, all the personal touches really meant a lot to them and the friendliness of the hosts was spot on, they couldn't rave about the accommodation more, especially the comfortable bed.

Garden studio was absolutely perfect!

! Immaculately clean and such a homely feel. Alan and Sheila greeted us on arrival and it was lovely to meet them. Every single thing about garden studio was stunning and every detail was catered for and well thought out. The views from the studio itself are amazing, and the views at night from the hot tub are incredible! We had a fair few clear nights so got some stargazing in, and also saw a fair few shooting stars. I can’t put into words how amazing our stay was at garden studio and we will definitely be back in the future!

Property of a very high standard.

Views to match. Hot tub put to use once dark to enjoy moon and stars. Studio always cosy. Owners very welcoming, also providing a selection of goodies to enjoy. Bird feeder in the garden was in constant use. First time in ares to try the local roads for cycling, great for this. My wife has an ebike and there is an outside plug point at the studio to make charging easy. Already booked to go back next year.

This studio is a little peace of heaven which is immaculately furnished in a beautiful country setting.

Excellent stay.

Excellent hosts. Asked about local farms where we could collect eggs and within an hour they delivered hen and duck eggs to our door and refused payment. Incredibly well stocked kitchen with everything you need. Hot tub was great, unfortunately couldn't use it one day due to high winds, but went for a trip to local villages. Would recommend.

Great little place to stay!

The kitchen area has everything you need and more. We were worried being there in the cold weather that it would be cold but it definitely wasn’t it was nice and cosy at night and the hot tub was great for heating you up too, we would love to go back and stay again!

Everything you needed was provided all high quality, couldn’t have asked for a more comfortable stay and the hosts were very friendly

We have stayed in a few places in Scotland and this is one of the nicest places we have stayed.

The hosts were very welcoming and it was clear they wanted guests to have a lovely relaxing time. The cottage was immaculate with extra personal touches that we were not expecting. The hamper and fridge provisions were a lovely surprise. A beautiful area for cycling and walking with some lovely villages. The hot tub was a real bonus too. We will be booking again soon.

Set it the beautiful Aberdeenshire countryside with views to Benachie, this is a fabulous garden studio for two people.

Great layout and facilities, all the home comforts and more! Lovely views with a wonderful hot tub. The hosts left a welcome pack in the kitchen, which was very nice. We had a great stay and would highly recommend!
