Inverness 40 miles.
Elgin is Scotland’s smallest city and even boasts its own football team! It is the administrative capital of Morayshire and a place with many attractions in an Area of Outstanding Beauty. Close to the north east coast of Scotland with its selection of sandy beaches, golf courses and atmospheric fishing villages, Elgin has a lot to offer in terms of history and visitor attractions. Situated along the banks of the River Lossie the city has grown and flourished and has grand stone buildings and of course the famous cathedral which dates back to the 13th century. Other places of interest in the area include many distilleries, Elgin Museum and Baxters of Fochabers. For walkers, the Speyside Way footpath provides a wonderful network of paths with fantastic sea views and wildlife.
