  • "A lovely place to spend a relaxing holiday."

Thanks for making us very welcome on our stay enjoyable and relaxing. Accommodation would benefit from access to EV charging and I believe this would be a good extra incentive to book this wonderful accommodation.

  • "We had a very pleasant stay at snowy owl barn ."

Max and Sid were there to meet us on arrival . Max explained to us all the do,s and don,ts then left us to unpack . The barn is situated down a single track lane in the village of shipdham and it is roughly a hour away from most major tourist attractions . We visited lots of lovley surrounding villages and places in the week we were there . We throughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend if your looking for comfortable clean and peaceful accommodation.

  • "The location was good but there were not many places to visit within a reasonable distance."

During our stay we lost all vision on the TV, We mentioned this to Max and on our return there was a new TV ready for us. Max was very friendly and supportive. You could say he was as friendly as possible and a pleasure to talk to. All in all we enjoyed our stay, but it was difficult to know what was available to visit due to the Covid restrictions on leaflet use. Otherwise it was a very pleasant holiday with limited sunshine.

  • "Fabulous place to stay in beautiful surroundings and so peaceful and quiet."

The barn is as described and spotlessly clean and perfect for a couple to relax after a day out in the surrounding places visited. The barn although in a quiet location is central to so many places so it's not long before you arrive somewhere to either sight see, shop or have a quiet drink. Max who looks after you upon arrival is very friendly and runs through all the details plus is a mind of information of all things local and if any issues(we had none) he will sort them out. His wife looks after the horses that are there and is around to say hi to but you very rarely here them considering they are close by. Will certainly return as it was a perfect location for my wife and I and lovely hosts who take pride in the 2 cottages there and the surroundings.

The owners were very welcoming, Nothing was too much trouble, in fact they go that extra step to make sure every thing is perfect, getting me some bread rolls from local bakery day after arriving, anything needed or needed to know just had to ask, And the setting was just beautiful, could watch the owner training her horses, I’m definaitly going to return in the future, and would whole heartedly recommend a stay here, in middle of country side but not far away from anything, 31/2 miles away from a large superstore, Well deserving hosts, they have put in everything and comfort you need for a lovely break there short or longer, well done very tastefully done

  • "The barn we stayed at was amazing, rural enough that you were well secluded (single lane track 3/4 mile to get there an other 300 yards onto the property from the road) but it was almost central Norfolk (field next to us was!"

) so a great hub for exploring all parts of Norfolk. Owners were lovely, it a great view out over the fields from the barns too Even with places shutting all around us due to the virus, there were plenty of places to see and do, a coastal walk at Cromer, lots of lovely villages to walk around, and National trust properties with lovely large grounds... We will definitely be heading back when we are able, there is so much more we want to see and do...

  • "Great stay at Snowy Owl Barn."

It's in a lovely location, is well kitted out, and was immaculately clean. The view from the patio is out over fields from where we watched deer and a variety of birds whilst having breakfast - so relaxing! We used it as a base whilst visiting family in the area and is well situated for the North Norfolk Coast, Norwich and the Broads, as well as for Thetford Forest, Brandon Country Park etc. Would definitely book again.

  • "It's an excellent base to travel from - there is a very narrow, one car road, for about a mile from Shipdham to the farm gates, there are a few passing places."

It's quiet and tranquil, just the job after a busy day out. There is a small shop in Shipdham that is open until 7pm. The barn is kitted out to a high standard, and the bed is very comfortable.

Owners were very accommodating and friendly. A bit far away from main places of interest so we had a fair car journey each time we went out. However, this did not deter us as the whole point of the break was to get away from it all and relax, so we were happy to stay more local.
