The village of Great Moulton is set within a rural landscape in south Norfolk, close to the border with Suffolk. The village is well served, with a village shop, a post office, a butcher’s selling locally produced meats and a local pub that serves food. Within a short travelling distance is Harleston, where Georgian residences line the streets and a bustling market takes place every Wednesday. A short drive away, the market town of Diss has a large number of historic buildings and lies in the valley of the River Waveney, which is in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The city of Norwich, just 14 miles away, has two cathedrals, two shopping malls, a castle, museums, cinemas, and many good restaurants. On the Suffolk coastline near Lowestoft are many varied attractions for all the family, while Southwold offers wonderful scenic coastal views, birds and walks.

The village's pub serves food, and is a 2 minute walk from this Great Moulton holiday cottage, and the shop and post office are also a stroll away. This Great Moulton cottage makes a good base, ideally placed to enjoy both Norfolk and Suffolk attractions. The market town of Diss, with its Friday market and Gaze auction house, the Suffolk coastline, Georgian Harleston, Banham Zoo, Bressingham Steam & Gardens and an aviation museum at Flixton are all within easy reach of this cosy Great Moulton cottage. Redgrave and Lopham Fen, and Thetford Forest, ideal for a day out, are also easily accessible.

The bungalow was perfect for the two of us and our small dog. Everything was provided including treats for the dog, milk, eggs and cakes for us. We've had three cottage holidays with our dog and The Pippins was the best.
