  • "Thank you so much Tina and Greg."

Deer cottage is brilliant and in a great location. The basket of goodies was amazing and very welcoming. We visited Oxburgh Estate twice, Banham zoo. Then we had a go at the pingo trail, although everything was under water so a bit of a challenge. But once back at Deer cottage a relaxing soak in the hot tub whilst watching the young deer criss crossing the back field. Just brilliant Thank you

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at Deer Cottage."

Tina and Greg were great hosts and gave us plenty of information about the local area, including the Pingo trail, nearby towns and villages and the local pub - which served lovely food. A bonus for us, we even caught a sighting of a deer during our walk along the Pingo trail. The welcome pack was lovely, which included homemade fresh bread and cake. We really enjoyed the hot tub and took advantage of the log burner as the evenings got cooler. We have already decided that we will be rerurning in the future, as the cottage and the are is ideal for a short break away from reality.

We were provided with a goodie hamper on arrival, along with a delicious home made rhubarb cake and a home made loaf. The cottage itself was excellent, peaceful, very clean, in good decorative order and incredibly well equipped. Tina had thought of everything from washing up liquid to bin bags to robes & slippers for the hot tub, there were loads of extra touches that really made the difference. The bed was only a double, but very good quality and therefore very comfortable. I enjoyed coffee in the garden (with my book) every morning which was wonderful. There was ample of information about local walks, near and far, attractions in the area, food, attractions, and instructions on how to use everything. There were robs and slippers for the hot tub, but tub had a seating area and fairy lights. The accomodation was delightful, heating was on morning and night, and the fire was amazing, heat the room up very quickly. All supplies for fire provided. The double bed was very comfy (although a little crampt for us) but a comfy double bed none the less, and very fluffy, comfy pillows! The holiday property is so much more than you can expect. The location is in a lovely country village but close enough to a shop as well (within driving distance), with great surroundings to explore - we were out every day, with so much to see and do! Tina and Greg put so many personal and meaningful touches around the place and it was a joy to stay in. The hot tub was an absolute bonus when getting back from a walk or day out. We were very lucky with the weather at this time of year but it didn't stop us doing anything we wanted to do and the property was so cosy and warm, perfect for colder nights. Tina had also decorated the cottage with bunting and arranged prosecco and birthday cake for my husband. Nothing was too much trouble, the cottage was fully equipped and very cosy with the log burner and central heating. The cottage was impeccably clean and had a very comfortable bed. The hot tub was very clean and warm with nice warm dressing gowns and slippers to put on after. The only draw back was poor wifi for keeping in touch with the kids but reception was much better in the kitchen. We cannot wait to return and would recommend to any couple wanting a tranquil peaceful escape

Back garden was secluded, which was nice as that was where the hot tub and patio were. The kitchen equipment was above and beyond what we expected with lots of little personal touches for visitors.

  • "We had a wonderful week at Deer Cottage."

It is a beautiful cottage and it is so peaceful, that all you hear all the birds singing. It is beautifully decorated, furnished and stocked with lots of little extras which make the week more special. The hot tub is a perfect addition to the garden. The owners are very kind and helpful. The nearby pub was a great find and the local people are very friendly. There are a lot of places to visit within an hours drive. All in all, it was a relaxing and very enjoyable week.

  • "Deer cottage has not got electric central heating, its oil fired central heating, which is controlled by the owners next door, so if they dont swich heating on you will have to light the wood burner to get any heat in deer cottage."

When the wood runs out it will cost you £5 to replace. The heating was swiched on the first night, and that was it until our last night there when the heating came on again!!

Tina and Gregg made us feel comfortable straight away. A fresh cooked loaf of bread on the kitchen side, milk, sausages and chocolates too were just a few of the little things that made our stay so lovely. Beautiful surroundings and a lovely little cottage. Log fire and jacuzzi were both brilliant. Would love to go back sometime. Thanks Tina and Gregg for a very peaceful and quiet escape. • "We had a really enjoyable stay- the only 1 small thing I would say is that we were told there would be Wi-Fi."

With our cottage being pretty much in the middle of nowhere, we had very bad signal on our mobile phones so were relying on the Wi-Fi but the connection was awful. We barely got 1 bar of signal from the Wi-Fi. Whilst it was actually quite nice to be cut off from the world and enjoy our break to the fullest- I do feel that if Wi-Fi is advertised, there should at least be a decent connection. There was no area of the cottage that provided us with even just a reasonable connection. Other than this, we had a really lovely time. The wood fire and the hot tub were excellent additions and even had some added extra's to get us going (like milk and bread and eggs). This was a really thoughtful and appreciated gesture.. Greg was very welcoming and the flat was very well equipped. We would like to thank both Tina and Greg for such an enjoyable stay
