"This really was a lovely place to stay."
Everything you could want was provided including a few extras. The hosts met me on arrival and were very friendly and hospitable and nothing was too much trouble. Thankyou very much for a very enjoyable week’s break.
-
"We felt at home the minute we walked in, the tea, coffee, milk and biscuits were very appreciated."
For some reason we struggled to get access to Wifi but Bob was on the case and put a booster in the kitchen for us, job done! Being just outside Cromer suited us and we used the bus to go into the town. Everything you need in the property is provided, and Heather and Bob perfect hosts. Hopefully we will go back to beautiful Norfolk and we would not think twice about staying at Highfield again.

"No dishwasher is a slight drawback but spacious kitchen was ideal."
The property is cosy and comfortable and an easy 5minute car journey to Cromer.
-

Didn’t like the message left that we had to strip beds, tidy up and sweep floor, we paid for a holiday not to do housework, a pleasant holiday

"A lovely cosy cottage."
Heating was on from 6am till 11pm and I was offered it to be on overnight if I was cold. Instantly controlled by the thermostat in the lounge. Bob and Heather the owners live next door and it was a pleasure to meet them. They made me feel very much at home with a nice welcome tray on arrival. I will be rebooking. Great place.

"Everything we hoped it would be."
Thank you it was a pleasure to meet you. Property Owner

"Toilet door would not close."
Inadequate lighting in bathroom. Clothes (underwear) always felt damp. It was cold but had no control over heating (had to ask the owner to control heating) It felt like the premises had not bee used for some time. Would not recommend to friends. Not good value for money.
Thank you for your feedback We do take Customer comments very seriously As owners, we are on hand to help our Customers with any problems that they may have during their trip and can be easily contacted as live next door. The property isn't damp and has been occupied continually since June by holiday makers. We do fog the property on every changeover as per the recommended covid cleaning guidelines We have fixed the bathroom door after we read your note and the control for the heating is just above the sofa so you can turn it up or down as required Once again, thanks for your comments Property Owner

"A dishwasher would be an extra bonus."
-
"An ideal base for a couple."
To relax ,walk in the countryside, visit the Broads and coast. A comfortable and very clean and safe property considering the pandemic.
-
"A great location to visit the coastal and National Trust properties."
We enjoyed our stay. The property was small cosy and well equipped, we had everything that we needed, though a bit more sunshine would have been nice!
-
"The hosts were most accomodating."
Even the patio was swept every morning to contend with leaf brought down by the quite fierce wind. All information was clearly set out in accordance with present guidelines. For example, brochures were left for us re: places to visit, to be disposed of after each visitor. There was plenty of information before we arrived. This is our second visit and we would happily go again.

"Do not use the Sat nav given by sykes it's wrong"

"Great little place when you find it - but don't trust the Sykes location on Google Maps!"
Coordinates for entrance to drive are 52°53'47.2"N 1°18'26.5"E, or 52.896443, 1.307353 for Google Maps. On What3Words app, try "blotches.gourmet.result".

"Highfields is a really relaxing retreat for two people it was everything it said on the tin so to speak very comfortable and very clean."
We were welcomed by the owner on arrival and nice tea tray awaiting us in the kitchen. The patio area was a lovely sun trap for us to relax and unwind and the area is great with many things to do and see close at hand.

"If you could say if the shower is a wet room, cubicle or over the bath"
-
"This property is excellent for."
A break in a quiet location. It would benefit from a house sign as gps is spasmodic in the area and running out of phone battery resulted in a 1 hour search for this property.
-
"Easy parking."
Dog excercising area nearby. Lovely peaceful patio area. Very comfy bed. Thoroughly enjoyable stay.
-
"Overall very clean and comfortable be it a little on the small side."
One downside was we took our dog but due to a busy road past the property with no footpaths we had to get the car out to take the dog for a walk. But that aside we had a lovely week exploring Norfolk.
-
"The location and accommodation were ideal for a couple of wobbly octogenarians."
Easy access to places of interest (eg National Trust houses an reserves) and to good pubs/restaurants
-
"We thought the cottage was excellent go their again any time, also just outside the cottage you could catch a bus any where great."

"We found that Highfield at Roughton was the perfect base in north Norfolk for a holiday with our family dog"
-
"It was a lovely cottage, as was the lady who owned it."
If you don’t want to go out anywhere you can relax on the patio which, if you’re as lucky as we were, is a nice little sun trap. Comfortable in the cottage, the best thing for me was the shower, really liked it. The bed was ok. The kitchen was equipped with all the basics, plenty if you wanted to cook or a good chippy in the village or Chinese takeaway less than 2 miles away. Came away feeling relaxed and refreshed. Definitely recommend it.
-
"The cottage was comfortable, bright and cheerful, well equipped and furnished."
The paved yard was fully enclosed with table. chairs and bench seating, all the more pleasant because of pots of flowering plants on it. The position was nice and central, only about 5 minutes to get to Cromer. The owner made me very welcome on arrival and was on hand if there were any queries. I would be more than happy to go again.(and hope for better weather next time! )

"A real home from home."
Flowers, biscuits, tea, coffee and milk left for us. Comfy bed and warm duvet. Heating on from 7am to 11pm - a godsend as weather was so cold over Easter.
-
"A very quiet and extremely well equipped property."
Extremely friendly owners who volunteered information about the area and answered any questions. There is a local enclosed 'dog walk' field close by for that early morning walk. The shower is large enough to take a shower stool, which we took with us. Met all our creature comforts in an area that we love.
-
"We had a lovely relaxing time at this property."
Just the right size for two. Ideal for visiting Cromer and the surrounding area. Would recommend to others and would definitely stay there again.
-
"Quite hard to find the driveway on a dark road, a light would be nice."
The cottage was lovely and comfortable enjoyed my break away there, would definately go back again.
-
"Lighting poor outside."
Light temperamental. Broadband very slow.
-
"Excellent cottage for two people, owners were great hosts and very helpful ."
Wi-Fi connection was very good. Would certainly visit again, Only complaint was the week of constant rain we had, can't blame Bob and Heather for that, didn't let it spoil the holiday though
-
"A very enjoyable break from start to finish."
Property owners made us feel very welcome and the property was very clean and well presented. Ideally positioned for the coast and also places of interest inland. We would recommend this property to any couple and we will certainly try to return in the future. G & P Wood .

"Slightly underwhelmed with the finer details of the accommodation - Seat in Shower not able to be used - difficult for my wife who isn't able to stand for long periods."
Kitchen adequate but contained a lot of crockery, glasses etc which we found were not required. Needed to make room for non perishables. small blemishes with décor under window sill in lounge - plaster off. Light switches in Kitchen & Lounge not easy to find when arriving after dark would have thought they would be near to the entry door? All in all a good place to stay and ideally situated for visiting attractions in the area. The village pub was well worth visiting - New Inn - excellent English & Chinese food.
