Situated in the heart of the beautiful Norfolk Broads is the attractive rural Norfolk village of Ludham. Surrounded on 3 sides by the rivers Ant, Bure and Thurne and its own small broad, Womack Water with its array of moored boats and small shops, it is a lovely, picturesque place to holiday. At the centre of the village is the crossroads, near to the beautiful thatched church of St Catherine’s and several pretty thatched cottages, the local pub, village store, butcher’s and tea rooms. To the north west of the village is How Hill Nature Reserve with nature trails and a museum of a marshman life in Toad Hole Cottage. The village offers a good network of footpaths with plenty of wildlife to see. In summer the beach at Sea Palling is a hub of activity with jet skiiers and the sand dunes of Winterton-on-Sea offer secluded sun traps perfect for relaxing. Spend a day exploring the broads in one of the sailboats and river cruisers which can be hire from Hunters Yard in Ludham. The traditional seaside town of Great Yarmouth is just a short drive away and offers plenty of attractions and family fun. The award-winning attraction Bewilderwood can be found just outside Wroxham, which is a must visit for children and adults, with tree houses, wires, jungle bridges and boat rides. A fantastic family holiday destination at any time of the year.

Located on the edge of the village is Hunter’s Yard where you can hire a sailing boat and explore Womack Waters or visit Ludham’s local nature reserve at How Hill. Just a short drive takes you to the broadland town of Wroxham, with its renowned Roys of Wroxham shops, and good selection of riverside pubs serving food. Within easy travelling distance from this Ludham cottage is the beautiful Norfolk coast enjoying lovely sandy beaches or lively traditional seaside towns, or spend a day visiting the nearby city of Norwich. The property was excellent, very comfortable and a home from home. The heating was set to keep it warm and being a week in April, this was most acceptable. Everything you could want was there and more. The garden was safe for dogs and children. A very good place for exploring the Broads.

Great location for getting around Norfolk. Cosy and comfortable bungalow yet large enough to accommodate our families for Christmas dinner and two boxer dogs! Everything we needed was there to use. Communication from the owner was great too. We felt very welcome. Would love to go back in the summer.
