Close by is the town of Harleston with a large number of independent shops and several good restaurants, plus within easy driving distance is the beautiful historic Norfolk city of Norwich with its castle, cathedral, museums and excellent shopping. The Suffolk Victorian seaside town of Southwold, famous for its beach huts, lighthouse and Adnams Brewery, is nearby, and other places worthy of a visit include Snape Maltings, Framlingham village with its National Trust-owned castle, Wyken Vineyards, and RSPB Minsmere.
