Location: Abersoch

Pwllheli 6 miles.

The attractive harbour village of Abersoch is situated on the Lleyn Peninsula in a region of Wales renowned for its outstanding scenery and varied walking. The town, situated between two glorious bays, is one of the most popular sailing venues in North Wales and important sailing regattas are held there throughout the summer months. Numerous shops cater for the tourist as well as pubs, restaurants and cafes. Watersports enthusiasts are also well catered for, particularly windsurfing, water skiing and dinghy sailing, not to mention renowned surfing at Hell’s Mouth. There are three main beaches to choose from - the long sandy Warren beach, small and sheltered Porth Bach and sandy Porth Ceriad with its high cliffs. Most of the coastline is owned by the National Trust and there are many remote bays, sandy beaches and cliffs, as well as wildlife havens like Bardsey Island to explore.

Previous visitors' comments about Bwythyn-y-Saer:

The position of the cottage just a short walk from Abersoch. It's in a beautiful position and benefits from beautiful views. The cottage felt very homely and was an excellent base.
Ms Crowther, Runcorn, September 2012

The location and the cottage was set in lovely surroundings and the children loved to play in the garden. The children have asked to go again next year but for two weeks.
Mrs Bond, Leyland, August 2012

The accommodation was better than it looked on the internet. The location was fab, under a mile to the park, shops, village & beach. The garden was lovely. We thought it was great that the owner popped in to see us and make sure we were happy with everything.
Miss Baylis, Cheadle, July 2012

Beautiful location. Nice and quiet but not too far from village shops. Beaches and lovely walks are all in easy reach.
