The bustling market town of Bala lies within the beautiful Snowdonia National Park and is located at the head of Llyn Tegid, Bala’s famous lake, which is the largest natural lake in Wales and home to a unique fish called the Gwyniaid, a relic of the Ice Age. Renowned as a centre for great watersports including fishing, sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and white water rafting, Bala is also the headquarters of the narrow gauge Bala Lake Railway. This Bala cottage commands spectacular views of Mount Arenig and the Upper Dee Valley and is only 3 miles from the market town of Bala. At this Bala cottage, there are two ground floor twin bedrooms and a large wet room, making it suitable for the accompanied disabled. The rest of the accommodation at this Bala cottage is made up of an open plan living area with fitted kitchen and a sitting room with magnificent views, comfortable furnishings, as well as a front patio with furniture, perfect for dining alfresco. With access to a 1.5 mile ‘on farm’ walk which encompasses views over Lake Bala and stunning countryside, this Bala cottage will suit the more adventurous visitor. The nearby town of Bala is famous for its excellent watersports including windsurfing, rafting, canoeing and fishing. A wonderful Bala cottage for a holiday all year round. The views were excellent. The setting although beside another cottage let was quiet with very good parking.
It was lovely to walk up the lane, through fields and the further benefit was from the beautiful views and countryside. The cottage itself was well suited to our party of four plus our dog. The price was good as it included a dog. So pleased with it!
