  • "Thank you for a wonderful stay."

The bungalow is spacious and comfortable and the perfect base for exploring the area. We had a lovely Sunday roast at Plas Coch and the chip shop in the high street didn't disappoint either. If you like something a bit different we went to Bounce Below, a 40 minute drive from Bala to jump around on giant trampolines in an old slate quarry which was great fun. Lovely friendly owner, I wouldn't hesitate booking Bryn Llan again if I come back this way with my family.

The bungalow was extremely comfortable and spacious. The owner was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The bungalow is in a very safe place and ideally situated near the town centre which is five minutes walk from the bungalow. Bala Lake is five minutes drive from the bunaglow,it is very peaceful there and the landscape is beautiful. I would recommend this bungalow to anyone who is looking for a relaxing holiday in Wales.

Plenty off road parking and quiet cul-de-sac. Very spacious bungalow with 3 good sized bedroom, one being ensuite. family bathroom large and good hot shower. Large lounge and kitchen. TV is very small and basic in lounge. No wifi in this property ( not advertised so not complaining) Bungalow is dated.

  • "The location is so great, within a walking distance of Bala lake."

The house is so spacious, nicely decorated, and clean. There are some small details that usually cost the host very little, but have a great adverse effect on the comfort of the guest. Like having kitchen rolls, salt in the kitchen, extra bin bags, little shampoos in the bathroom, etc. This was the first time I stayed in holiday accommodation and the place lacked these items and it was surprising. The place does not have Wifi as well.

I am pleased you enjoyed Brynllan. It is not advertised with WiFi. 4G works much better in rural Wales. With Covid still around we do not leave any food. There are always spare Bin Bags in the utility room. Property Owner

  • "The bungalow was very spacious and had everything that was needed but would have been much better for us if it had wifi."

It would have made planning excursions and finding restaurants etc much easier. It was a very good price for the size of the accommodation even with six people everyone would be able to have their own space. The location was perfect and the town was in easy walking distance. The location was also in easy traveling distance for most of North Wales. I would recommend this property.

Good places to eat in Bala especially Sunday lunch at the White Lion Hotel and coffee, snacks and ice-cream at the café by the lake. Bala is a great location for visiting in North Wales. We enjoyed trips to the coast, Llanberis, Lake Vernwy, the Glassblobbery and the gardens Caerau. The bungalow was in a quiet location. Plenty of parking and a garden with sun all day. As temperatures stored during the week to 33 degrees, the bungalow remained a lovely cool haven especially in the evening when it was so warm. The owner visited and made us feel most welcome. Will definitely go back.

  • "To be clear, this was booked via Booking."

Com on behalf of Sykes Cottages. Bryn Llan more than met expectations. It is a lovely bungalow, much more spacious than expected, in a quiet residential area no more than five minutes (slow walk) to the town of Bala and from Llyn Tegid (Bala Lake) itself. The accommodation is excellent; three bedrooms (a twin and two doubles - one en-suite); a large living room and well-equipped kitchen. There is also a garden/courtyard for residents use and parking for two to three cars in front of the property. Bala itself is well situated for excursions into the mountains of Snowdonia National Park if exploration is your desire. The town is a small town with two large convenience stores, a small number of cafes and places to eat. It also has two water sports centres and is less than a ten-minute drive to a nearby white-water activity centre (if that's your particular thing). If you do not know this area or it is your first visit, there is plenty to see and do nearby. Bala, or more correctly Llyn Tegid, is the setting for (arguably) one of the most important myths within the Welsh Bardic Tradition, being the place where Cerridwen 'gave birth' to Talisien. For those who are interested in these things, there is much to explore and learn. So, any downsides? Well, the ONLY thing that passed under our radar when we booked was that there was an additional charge for gas and electricity at the property. You are asked to confirm meter readings when you arrive, check them when you depart and leave a cash payment for the electricity and gas you have used. This is not a major thing, although you may want to bear this in mind if you will be cooking a lot and using the heating. To put this in perspective, we were a family of four. We used the washing machine, a little heating the TV and electric as normal and the final bill was less than £8. We were not cooking every day, however, preferring to have barbecues by the lake or eating out. If you are someone who MUST be connected to the internet, the property does not have a Wi-Fi connection, but the 4G signal is good and there are some local cafes and bars that do have free Wi-Fi. In summary then... We would have no reservations in recommending this property and would rent it again. Whilst we were staying the owner popped by to place some plants outside the building. They were friendly and very keen that to hear how we felt about the bungalow, clearly, they feel that the property meets the needs and expectations of those visiting. Alan and Sue

  • "The bungalow is situated in a very quiet location, all we could hear was the chirping of the birds."

It is very well equipped with every pot, pan, mug, plate and utensil you could possibly need. For those who are able to manage the short walk into Bala itself there are plenty of shops and places to eat. Although the weather wasn't great while we were there we managed to get out and explore several areas of North Wales. The owner was very friendly and spent time chatting with my elderly parents when she came one evening. A beautiful bungalow that I won't hesitate to book again.
