  • "Excellent property to stay, Very well equipped and comfortable, it was lovely to sit outside listening to the sheep and birds, the only downside was the beds needs better mattresses but apart from that I would highly recommend this cottage."

  • "We thorough enjoyed our stay at Talar Wen it’s in a great location for exploring."

    The host was extremely helpful. The house is at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac and backs on to sheep fields. There are tables, chairs and a bbq in the garden. The garden is fenced and secure for dogs. The house is extremely well equipped, very comfortable and well set up for children. There is a dart board, games table and plenty of board games. Bala town centre is a short walk away although it’s a steep climb back up!! The National White Water Rafting Centre is a 5 minute drive away. There are dog walks you can do from the house. Two tiny things - the house could do with a washing machine (I know the owner is working on this). We used the local laundrette which was £15. A chest of drawers in the downstairs bedroom would have been useful too. Otherwise a lovely house and extremely comfortable.

While we do our very best to accommodate everyone’s needs, we understand that individual preferences can vary, and we appreciate your understanding and constructive feedback. We did notice your rating for facilities was 75%, which surprised us a little, as the listing clearly states that we don’t offer a washing machine or dryer. We always aim to be transparent about what’s included, so guests can book with confidence and clear expectations. However, when you needed an emergency wash during the bank holiday (when the launderette was closed), we were more than happy to help by washing and drying some clothes for you. As for the downstairs bedroom, due to limited space, there isn’t room for a chest of drawers. That’s why we’ve provided clothes hooks, hangers on the door, and an additional wardrobe with a large drawer on the upstairs landing for added storage.   • "Talar Wen is our favourite Airbnb stay so far."

    The house is situated at the end of a cul-de-sac which meant it was a quiet location. The quality of the furnishings are very good and it is a very comfortable house in which to stay. The sun room is a fantastic space. The weather was kind to us and we enjoyed a barbecue every evening. It was a delight to hear the sheep in the field behind the property. Talar Wen provides a super base to travel to so many great locations in North Wales. We hope to visit again.

  • "The house was beautiful and the town of Bala also."

    The owners have added extras to make the house so comfortable. Blankets for sitting in the garden of an evening. Tea, coffee, sugar, dish washer tablets and a unit full of board games. I only have one gripe which was no down stairs toilet/second bathroom. Large house, 6 adults sharing. This would make a brilliant house to an exceptional house.

  • "A luxury home with everything you could need for a short break."

    Our family ranging from 17 to 80 years found Talar Wen perfect for a couple of days away with both our dogs. The rear of the property is perfect to sit out, very peaceful (even with the sheep field at the back!) and is completely dog friendly/secure. The inside is spacious and the sun room/conservatory is a great family space which we loved. The games area was a bonus with pool/air hockey and darts proving popular. The town is 10mins walk down the steep hill, but there’s plenty of parking if you need to drive. Eira, the owner was fantastic and provided good local information and even set up decorations, a balloon and lovely welcome pack for my mums 80th celebrations - which was unexpected and a nice touch. Couldn’t ask for more and would love to visit again.

    Eira was very helpful and friendly. We had a problem with the tv, we sent her a text and it was sorted by the next day. The welcome pack was lovely I have to say we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful home. Maya our dog loved it to we couldn’t keep her out of the garden, that was if we weren’t walking into Bala.

  • "The home was absolutely beautiful, it was larger than expected, the owner was very helpful and quick to respond with a couple of questions."

    When we stayed it was -7 outside but the log burner gave us that really cosy feel. The walk into Bala for me was easy it’s quite a sharp little hill back up, but it’s not long. I would and will stay again

  • "We stayed here from boxing day to New years to celebrate my partners 60th birthday."

    The hosts were very accommodating for us as a family and had even decorated the house with banners and a happy 60th balloon, which was really appreciated. We also had a lovely welcome gift. The house is well equipped with everything you might need and felt like a home from home. The town centre of Bala is only a short walk with nice pubs and plenty of places to eat and get food. I can't recommend Tala Wen enough, and hopefully, we will return soon.

  • "We had such a lovely and relaxing stay at Talar Wen in November (28."

    11-01.12). The setting was absolutely beautiful - peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by stunning Welsh countryside. It was the perfect place for us to unwind. The house was spotless, warm, and really cozy, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. It felt so welcoming and had a real homely feel, which made it even easier to relax and enjoy our time there. We loved spending our days exploring the area and soaking up the scenery, then coming back in the evenings to such a calm and comfortable space. It was exactly what we needed to recharge. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would love to come back again soon. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful break!

  • "Beautiful and immaculate home."

    The welcome pack was very generous. All beds were super comfy, lovely linens and cushions. The kitchen was well equipped, home from home, was lovely to cook in. Plenty space for everyone. We loved the games table and darts and the kids played footy outside in the garden. Short walk down into Bala and the Lake. Hosts were wonderful, very attentive, communication was really good. Would highly recommend and we would love to come back.
