Betws-y-Coed, known as the Gateway to Snowdonia, is North Wales' most popular inland resort. Surrounded by dense woodland and magnificent mountain country, this is a haven for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts alike. At Betws-y-Coed the River Conwy meets its three tributaries flowing from the west, and the beauty of the area is enhanced by cascading waterfalls, river pools and ancient bridges. Most famous of all are the magnificent Swallow Falls, situated where the Llugwy River hurls itself into a spectacular chasm. The village has shops, pubs, places to eat, miniature railway, a riverside golf course and the Woodland High Rope Activity Centre, and is home to The Snowdonia National Park Visitor Centre, as well as being the start of the beautiful Conwy Valley which leads to the coast and the lovely towns of Llandudno and Conwy.

Great cottage to share with friends. Clean and well equipped. Short drive to numerous walks on and around Snowdon.

It is a very nice area with a lot to see. The 'touristy' places are all within easy driving distance. We will definitely return the area.

A lovely cottage situated in the perfect location for walking in Snowdonia. We enjoyed some fabulous walks in the mountains and then had somewhere quiet to go back to in the evening, but which was only a short drive from the conveniences of Betws-y-coed. A great holiday!

The cottage was a perfect escape, it provided everything you could have wished for, very well presented and located. It was very helpful having the owners so close by and we found the cottage very good value for money. Have recommended it to friends and family!
