Nearby Blaenau Ffestiniog, once the world's capital of slate quarrying and in the 18th century known as the 'City of Slate', offers a range of shops and pubs, whilst the surrounding area boasts a variety of things to see and do. Take a tour around Llechwedd Slate Cavern, enjoy a ride on the famous Ffestiniog Railway or simply take some time to admire the stunning mountainous views available from all aspects. With excellent walking, mountain biking and cycling, wonderful sandy beaches, great fishing, a wealth of delightful towns and villages scattered throughout the area, and the beautiful Vale of Ffestiniog and Cynfal Waterfalls to the west, this lovely location has something for everyone, at any time of year!

Just 3 miles from Blaenau Ffestiniog, this former quarryman's cottage provides welcoming accommodation, boasting slate flagged floors and a multi fuel burner, all creating a cosy Llan Ffestiniog cottage atmosphere. The area surrounding this Llan Ffestiniog cottage offers beautiful countryside and stunning views, with the Manod Mawr/Bach Mountains and the hidden Manod Lake just 2 miles away. Enjoy the nearby bustling town of Porthmadog with its marina, or the enormous beach at Black Rock Sands, whilst Betws-y-Coed, Portmeirion, Bodnant Gardens, the famous Ffestiniog Railway and Mount Snowdon itself are all within easy reach of this Llan Ffestiniog cottage. A cosy retreat at any time of year!

A really lovely cozy house. The owners went out of their way to provide a wonderful welcome package which was greatly appreciated. There were plenty of towels, toilet rolls and all the essentials that you don't really want to have to pack.
