We chose the flat for its facilities and ease of access for my very elderly father. We were blessed with pretty much continuous sunshine for our three night stay. The garden was beautiful (in late March - I imagine it's a picture in the summer) and we were able to make good use of the conservatory and summer house. The flat and well-maintained garden were very easy for my father to get around with his walking frame and he enjoyed the garden bird life. Holywell and the A55 are close by but the road noise isn't a problem and the property is wonderfully situated to access some beautiful locations: we went to the Clwydian Hills to the south; RSPB Burton Mere and Ness Gardens to the east and RSPB Conwy, LLandudno and Great Orme to the west. Just a fraction of the opportunities within a 30 minute drive. Christina the owner could not have been more helpful and we'd certainly use the flat again to show my father more of North Wales.

We had a couple of mishaps including the curtains in the bathroom falling off the wall but once we brought it to Christina and Tim’s attention it was fixed by the time we got back. Conservatory is definitely an added bonus as well as the seating area outside. This is ideal for young or old families and the local town has a Tesco and a Lidl so big shops are close by as well as a Spar and Chinese takeaway all within a 10 minute drive from the flat. It is about 30 mins drive from the seaside town of Rhyl and the same in the opposite direction from Chester so there are lots of lovely places to go and visit that aren't too far away and are easily accessible by car. The owners of the flat are very helpful and have lots of knowledge of the local area and ideas of where to go along with the box of items in the flat with ideas of places to go. The owners were lovely, friendly people who made us feel very welcome. The flat is spacious, exceptionally clean, lovely bedding and towels etc. There was milk in the fridge, tea, coffee and biscuits in the kitchen and chocolates in the bedroom, what a lovely welcome! We had our own keys to both the entrance and the rear conservatory. We were able to park right up to the doors or round the back, there ismplenty of parking should visitors have two vehicles. The flat is warm and cosy with all round double-glazing and so quiet you can literally hear a pin drop especially at night. You approach thr property via a bridle path off the road, just a couple of hundred yards up this path there are a few bungalows and houses on the right hand side. The directions we were given were perfect. We spoke to the gentleman owner most days as he was often in the garden, the weather was really nice, and the surroundings are so peaceful and adjacent to the Holywell Golf course. We cannot recommend this flat enough, it is more like a bungalow than a flat really. The settees and chairs are very clean and comfortable, the tv reception and wi-fi are good too. There is a mini library of various books in the sunny conservatory with comfy chairs and settees with views over the garden. So if you want somewhere different from the lounge, the conservatory is ideal. We found the location for exploring North Wales just perfect for us. You are not far from the A55 which is a great road for getting to places like Chester, Rhyl, Prestatyn, Conwy, Colwyn Bay and Llandudno. We found driving in the area to be very easy and there are some lovely views of both sea and mountains.
