Caernarfon (county town of Gwynedd) has much historic and cultural importance in North Wales. It is a popular tourist spot with its impressive 13th Century castle, well preserved town walls and delightful water front. During the season there are guided tours of the castle and special events including historic pageants. There is also a station for the Welsh Highland Railway, which passes through dramatic scenery, the village of Beddgelert and onto Porthmadog. Fishing trips are available from the harbour and another attraction within walking distance of the town centre is Segontium, a Roman fort and museum, housing many important finds. Previous visitors' comments about Damavand:
Fantastic furnishings, very up to date inside the property. Fantastic views of the surrounding rural countryside and our children were very happy to be guided in by a sheep whom they named Dino the Tour Guide! Only 4 miles from Caernarfon, small local shop within walking distance. Fantastic holiday and will look forward to coming to Damavand again!

Damavand was a great place for a break! The apartment was very modern with everything we needed. It was far enough into the countryside to be away from everything and peaceful yet only ten minutes or so drive to the shops if needed. We had a great time!

Nice break in the middle of nowhere. Exactly what we were looking for, a cottage with modern furnishing. Good walk up Snowdon.

On arrival at the property, we were greeted by the owners father, who was on hand to ensure that we could gain access to the property and answer any questions that we had. On entering the property we were pleasantly surprised with the standard of the accommodation and the interior and fittings. The property was also very child friendly and we would definitely consider stopping here again and recommending to friends.
