Most famous for its magnificent 14th century castle and gardens, one of many built throughout Wales by Edward I, Chirk boasts a wonderful aqueduct, built by Thomas Telford, pleasant pubs, restaurants, convenience store, chemist, gift shop, an excellent golf course and marina. The surrounding area, notably the beautiful Ceiriog Valley described by Lloyd George as “a little bit of heaven on Earth”, provides wonderful walks, cycling including the famous Offa's Dyke Pathway, and local trout fishing. Only 5 miles from charming Llangollen and within easy reach of the scenic Horseshoe Pass and the medieval towns of Chester and Shrewsbury, this great location has plenty to see and do for all the family!
