"We have just returned from our first stay at Llawenfan."
The accommodation suited our needs, as we self catering there was a good sized fridge freezer, washing machine and dryer, plenty of cutlery, plates and pans. Although the symbols on the controls on the oven were worn off we managed to follow instruction manual to use. As previous reviews it is a busy main road but we did not have issues with unloading and the parking permit was appreciated and car park nearby. The cottage is only a short walk to local beach and main food shopping can be found in Porthmadog. We would book this cottage again.
Thank you for your review. The control on the oven unfortunately is a problem as we are finding it difficult to find the exact fit. Glad that you could manage with the instruction manual. We will continue to search. Hope to see you in the future.

"You failed to uphold my complaint despite the validity of it."
The response from the owner was worrying as she was unaware that a description I used about the outside seating area was hers. Apparently her husband met us and we failed to mention our complaint. Totally untrue. They would have investigated if aware despite a lady on reviews highlighting the sane complaints in September and patently have not rectified it My major problem is the parking. In your response denying my request for reimbursement you suggest that I should have left the engine running whilst we unloaded and that you wouldn’t expect Parking agents ( what about Police) to mind . Condoning and encouraging law breaking is something your Lawyers might be unhappy with. I am in the process of filling in forms with Barclaycard . I intend to take this matter as far as I’m able.
Needless to say I’m disappointed with how you have dealt with my complaint and will be in touch with Trust Pilot and other interested parties in due course.

"We have just returned from a week at Llawenfan cottage."
The listing was fairly accurate and I am aware everyone's tastes differ. However,we found the cottage wasn't really comfortable for us. I will cover the good points first. The bathroom is nice and large and modern. Plenty of room to put your toiletries. The shower is a large walk in waterfall which is lovely. The bed was large and comfortable. T.V has a good selection of channels and options. The kitchen pans are of exceptional quality.
Unfortunately the cottage smells strongly of dog, downstairs when you walk in. The sofa isn't very comfortable, and the velux windows in the kitchen are filthy. There was very little provided upon arrival. Hardly any hand wash left, no welcome pack, two small toilet rolls, no toiletries whatsoever, towels are small and thin. Only two dishwasher tabs for a week's stay. A blanket would be nice for using in colder months when sat downstairs. The pillows are very lumpy. The bathroom window does not open. Property is right opposite the pub on the main road and is very noisy, especially at the weekend. Cottage is also very dark. Parking was fine however, if a little inconvenient for unloading and loading the car.
I will be paying more next time for a better equipped stay.

"The council will not collect the rubbish."
We spoke to the refuse men and they say the collection is a commercial one, but when they came they also refused to take the recycling bin, so it's still not emptied and is completely full.
The oven controls have disappeared so it's impossible to work out what setting you need and what temperature the oven is at. Other people have said this too but it hasn't been fixed.
Really sorry that you had some problems. I was not aware that the oven controls were a problem but will certainly address this. With regard to the refuse and recycling I have to admit that it is an on going nightmare, as at home. Gwynedd are in the process of changing their bins and collection dates. I have spoken to a very helpful member of staff today and am assured that the situation will be sorted this week.

"A lovely little cottage!"
It was just perfect for me and my Jack Russell dog.
The bed was so comfortable, the bathroom is big and spacious with a huge walk-in shower area and the kitchen has everything you need. The property’s located on the main street through Criccieth but the effective double glazing keeps any traffic noise to a minimum (in fact I hardly noticed any at all).
There are double yellow lines immediately outside the cottage BUT you can park on the opposite side of the road for loading and unloading your stuff for up to an hour Mon-Sat between 9am and 5pm (and for as long as you want outside of those hours). The parking pass which is provided for the town’s main car park is so handy, and the car park is literally just 4 minutes walk away through a cut-through alleyway.
As someone who likes the freedom of self-catering but without the catering, well it’s just perfect! Just 20 yards to the left is Spice Bank Indian restaurant which does takeaways, Allports fish and chip shop is opposite as is the China Palace takeaway, and the Prince of Wales pub is just a bit further down the road - it’s very dog friendly and I ate here two different nights and I can say that the food is EXCELLENT!
And if the urge for a quick pint grabs you at any time, the Bryn Hir Arms is right opposite - this pub is also dog friendly, there’s a large outdoor seating area for in the good weather like which I enjoyed on my stay but it doesn’t serve food.
For a single traveller or a couple this property is just perfect if you’re looking for a base from which to explore the beautiful Llŷn Peninsula but with full facilities (shops, eating places etc) right on hand. I would definitely stay here again the next time I visit the area.
Thank you so much for your feedback.

its a lovely little cottage, decorated well, with the bonus of having all the cleaning essentials you could need, a real plus.
Maybe the Kitchen velux windows could do with a little clean but otherwise it was another perfect stay, centrally located and very cosy.
Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately there is a tree overhanging kitchen roof light therefore it is difficult to keep it clean all the time as you have to get on the roof. We will take this on board though

"This is a lovely cottage."
It had everything we needed and was clean and well maintained. i would recommend it. my only nitpick for the cottage is there was only one cushion on the sofa. we fought over it at night!
Finally, we got a parking ticket on the basis of it not being properly displayed when it clearly was. left me feeling they target people with these passes assuming theyre holiday makers. we didnt want to use it after that. however the cottage was wonderful and we would come again.

All white goods supplied, cutlery, plates ...literally had everything that we needed, and the town has takeaways, local stores, butchers and everything else within a 2 minute walk, and a pub literally across the road. Beach is a 5 minute walk away, and a lovely little castle 5 minutes from that. Other big supermarkets within a 10-15 min drive. "Beautiful cosy cottage in the heart of Criccieth."
The cottage had everything that we needed and is beautifully finished. All amenities are within walking distance from the cottage and beaches are a short walk. Pretty grassed areas just around the corner from the cottage to walk the dogs as there is no garden. The only thing I would suggest is maybe taking your own bath sheets as the towels provided are very small and I like to wrap myself up in my towel when I get out of the shower. Also the provision of a retractable stairgate would help with keeping dogs downstairs. Thoroughly enjoyed our break and will definitely stay at the cottage again. I could quite easily live in it.
Thank you for your positive feedback. I have purchased a retractable stair gate and it is being fitted today. It would be lovely to have you at the house again.

The cottage itself was very cosy and had everything you need for a self catering break.
Parking is not available outside the cottage, however a permit is provided for local parking, and there is often additional availability on the high street and side roads.

"We absolutely loved the property."
A location as central as is possible, literally opposite a pub, log burner, a surprisingly spacious bathroom, and very comfortable, everything we could have asked for.
There was one slight drawback that the upstairs bedroom reply suffered from the traffic noise from the road outside, which did impact even heavy sleepers. I believe the window is double glazed but if more could be done to reduce that noise that would make it perfect!

"Lovely little cottage in a lovely little village."
The cottage is comfortable and well equipped and I really liked the decor. We couldn't get the oven to work which is a bit of a nightmare when on a self catering holiday, but that's down to the complicated instructions and us clearly not grasping them opposed to the oven not actually working (I pessume?) Book restaurants in advance, we didn't as we didn't appreciate how busy they would be at the end of October, which was a bit of a nightmare considering we couldn't get the oven to work! I would definitely recommend this lovely little cottage though, it's situated perfectly for various areas of North Wales being within a 45 minute to 1 hour drive away.
Sorry you found the over difficult. You should have contacted us and we would have helped. We have since had it checked and it is working. Thank you for the rest of your comments.
