  • "Just back from a lovely stay with our four children and dog."

Beautiful house and great location. Only a couple of observations/suggestions that would have been helpful for us as a family and going forward for other guests: Sharper cooking knives. Was tricky cutting anything really. Higher/no ceiling pendants! Hubby is 6’1” and must have banged his head on landing, hall and kitchen about 20 times! Chest of drawers in single bedrooms. Back sliding door really tricky to open/close. Thank you for a lovely stay, would highly recommend for anyone wanting a base to explore North Wales.

  • "Lovely bright and clean accommodation, and well located property."

Plenty of room for 3 generations. Weather could have been better but plenty to see and do nearby. Not complaints but a few things to note - there was no DVD player that we could find, the toaster left side doesn’t latch properly and the Dyson main body falls off the handle part (we tied it on with ribbon!). Think knives need sharpening too!

Thanks for the great feedback, it's much appreciated. Thanks for highlighting the problem with the Dyson, i'm sorry but I was unaware of the issue, it has now been replaced. The DVD player is in the downstairs lounge. Unfortunately you have to use the right side of the toaster before you can use the left side. Promise to sharpen the knives !!! Property Owner

  • "Swn y Mor is a well-appointed house, the only thing that let it down, and this is quite a big thing, is that the mattresses are very cheap and very uncomfortable."

Every time one turned over in the bed it flet like being on a ship at sea, there was no support at all - I appreciate that you don't want to put an expensive mattress in a rental property but there must be a happy medium to having one that is the absolute basic.

  • "As others mentioned, a well situated property, clean, of good size and comfortable."

Having stayed elsewhere in the Snowdonia area this our first time to stay in Criccieth rather than just as day visitors. We really enjoyed the friendly residents, their shops and range of eateries. Downside of the property for us that with three of us ranging in height from 5'11" to 6'5" was that many ceiling lights were very low and we kept knocking our heads on them. That is why we would not return to this house.

  • "This was our third stay at this lovely spacious house."

The house was spotlessly clean with all the equipment that we needed for our stay provided for. Swn y Mor is in an ideal position, just a few minutes walk to the seafront and Criccieth town centre and a lovely dog friendly beach 10 minutes walk away. It is also convenient for visiting the many other tourist attractions nearby. Thoroughly recommend this house.

Lovely house love the extra room downstairs ideal for teenagers. The only comments are a lack of sharp knives and the beds in the front bedrooms were not comfy perhaps time for some new mattresses. Other than that great place to stay so convenient for beach, shops cafes etc. I'm sure we will be back again.

Hi thanks for your feedback. I'm sorry you found the mattresses uncomfortable but it is very difficult to please everyones preferences. There are 9 sharp knives in the drawers, I suspect that you didn't find the internal drawer within the utensil drawer, my apologies, I should have labelled them clearly. Property Owner

  • "Tremendous property, especially for a family of 6."

We enjoyed 2 weeks of absolute relax and refresh... Brilliant! The cleanliness of the property was the best we've ever known, and the advantage of two sitting rooms, (one of which has fabulous games and is two floors below the bedrooms) meant that our 3 year old grandchild (and her chosen parent or grandparent!) could rise early in the morning and not wake everyone else up before the sun rose! The bed mattresses are soft and the house well furnished, even the weather was excellent on several days... raining mainly only at night. Internet speed is very good - 2 of our party had to have zoom meetings with colleagues, no problems and great bandwidth. Social media access seems to be unavailable through internet, but was easily catered for by good 4G signals on our phones. Sea views from the rear and a 3 minute walk into the town, with two fabulous cafes, a fabulous restaurant and a further 5 or 6 minutes to the beach... Brilliant. Already booked our return.

  • "A beautiful house in a fabulous location."

We loved our stay, thank you. The house has everything you need and is very well presented, while we brought cleaning products, cloths, dishwasher tablets and condiments with us, these were all helpfully and thoughtfully provided - which is rare in our experience. The games room on the ground floor provided numerous board games and table hockey as well as an Xbox, which was a welcome surprise, for entertainment which is great for inclement weather days, which luckily we didn’t have. The house has all mod cons you would need and is tastefully decorated, the one minor gripe was the WiFi wasn’t great but a week off of social media was actually another highlight of our stay! The location is perfect for our needs with beautiful beaches close by (Abersoch, Harlech) as well as the hills, rivers and mountains of snowdonia on your doorstep. Overall, we had a fabulous holiday and the house definitely played a big part in that, and I thought the price was fantastic value for money. We will be back!

  • "The house was clean and tidy, and was well equipped with plenty of space."

Being within easy walking distance to the beach and Criccieth town centre was also a bonus. The only down side was the very uncomfortable bed in the en-suite bedroom, something other guests have commented on. Also felt that there should have been an earlier time for checking in and later for checking out. Having to clean a large house like this and be out by 9 am was something of a challenge. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

  • "The house was very comfortable and in a good location."

Parking was easy, right outside on the road. The house was warm and well laid out with wonderful views. There was lots of space. The owners were great on communication and very responsive. The mattress in the front double bedroom does need replacing. A steamer would be a great addition to the kitchen. All of the ceiling light fittings are very low and some of them are sharp, spiky metal. If you are tall you will hit your head repeatedly! We had a problem with the lights in the dining room and lounge as they flickered very badly. Even with the negatives we would still go again as the positives outweighed them.

  • "It was great location and very comfortable and well equipped and stocked dwelling."

Didn't need to buy anything extra. Great welcoming touch to have milk in the kitchen. Only minor issues. The bed in the master bedroom was creaky and mattress too soft. When two people shared you were both colliding in the middle when you turned over... Likewise in the other bedrooms too. Also the toilet seat needs fixing in the en-suite. Had to turn off all the plug-in air freshners as it is not suitable for all customers, especially for those with asthma and allergy. Late check-in was unexpected despite the Covid as when we booked it still had 4pm on the website and to be informed 48 hours later to 6pm and 9am check-out was very disappointing indeed. Especially when nothing had changed as far as Covid status was concerned...
