  • "Nice, tidy, tiny property, but hardly remote being one of a dozen converted buildings with parked cars everywhere."

The Wi-Fi was terrible, despite the owner’s house having Starlink, but the extension was so poor that phone calls kept disconnecting. Also never managed to get a hot shower – always cold, despite turning on immersion heater. So, nice swings but wobbly roundabouts.

So sorry about the Wi-Fi, the starlink was for the whole house and we have put in 3 nodes with another installed in Ty Gwenno itself. The electric immersion switch was in the utility by the light switch and was shown plus noted in the written description. Ymwlch Fawr is an old country estate with barns converted in the 80’s but don’t belong to the main house however there is sufficient parking by the garden entrance. Thankyou for your custom and for the feedback Property Owner

  • "The cottage was very clean and comfortable, although smaller than we had anticipated."

It was lovely to find fresh milk, butter and cheese in the fridge and a basket with cake and other goodies - thank you. There was a warm welcome from our host with advice on local walks - again, thank you!. It would have helped to have known how narrow the approach lanes to the property are.

The cottage was cosy and comfortable. They really had thought of everything and even recommended some walks to do - we could not do all of them, but perhaps next time!

  • "We had a fabulous holiday and would love to come back one day."

It may be useful for future holiday makers to have fully functional WiFi available. It was nigh - on impossible to stream anything on our devices. Please upgrade your plan. It may seem only a small thing, but in this day and age it’s an absolute necessity and this is how some people (us) relax.

We did take this comment very seriously and have installed this august, Elon Musk's Starlink to the property. Since 4 years the neighbouring 8 houses and farms have been waiting for BT to provide fibreoptic internet. Property Owner

  • "The cottage was perfect for what we needed."

I feel the bed could have been a little bigger but that is just because we are used to a super king size bed. We were grateful that the owners allowed us to have our3 small dogs who were very well behaved , in the cottage. All amenities were close, from the beach to Snowdonia. It was the perfect stay for a getaway!!

  • "The rustic cottage is not to our style, but it did have a very comfortable bed on the mezzanine."

The facilities were very adequate, but being a cottage there was dust in corners and behind the bed. Not good for mild athsmatics.

  • "Ty Gwenno is a lovely cottage."

Perfectly positioned to explore Snowdonia's mountains and coast. The cottage is very well equipped ... its great to find a place with both a proper oven and fridge/freezer and a washing machine. Really made self-catering easy and pleasant which is super important in these Covid-affected times. Bed is possibly a little soft for our tastes - but that's about the only downside once you are there. However - would strongly recommend Sykes Cottages updates and improves the directions to find Ty Gwenno. The final stages of the instructions were pure gibberish. Luckily we met our host before we got completely lost and she guided us to the cottage. Overall a great cottage in a great location with very welcoming hosts.

  • "This is a lovely quaint cottage set in a quiet location, but actually only five minutes away from the nearest town and beach."

My partner and I have been a couple of times before with our dog. We went at Easter this year and have also booked to return in August this year. The garden is lovely and enclosed making it safe for the dog, it is also a lovely sun trap with a table and chairs in place. The cottage itself is equipped with everything you would need for a comfortable stay there is a fabulous log burner for which logs are included! All plates and cutlery are of a high quality, as is the bedding and cushions etc. The property has a lovely, fresh feel / appearance making it a perfect place to come and relax. The owners of the property are very friendly and approachable should you need to. We hope to return here for years to come as we never tire of the area surrounding Criccieth.
