  • "This was our fourth visit to Oakley Wharf, however the first time to No 9."

As to be expected we found the apartment clean, tidy and had sufficient seating . In the kitchen area there was no shortage of utensils , crockery or glassware. This is the first time we have been in accommodation where there has been a breakfast bar and we found it a refreshing change. The size of the bathroom was good , with in our opinion a very good walk in shower, the bathroom was only let down by having a broken chain on the sink plug. We were surprised when we initially opened the front door and saw a request to take our shoes off ( not mentioned in Sykes summary), which proved a little concerning, as pensioners we need supports in our shoes to walk, however we had slippers with us , which alleviated the problem to a certain extent. There is one further point that should be mentioned based on our experience of visiting many other rental accommodations and that is , the apparent lack of information on the appliances in the kitchen area, which we could not find it in the information pack. Whilst we list these points , you will always be compensated by the view through the patio window of the river , the harbour, boats and in the distance Eryri and that is the reason we keep returning to Oakley Wharf.

We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay! It is indeed a lovely spot there. We will certainly look to get a new chain for the plug. In terms of the shoes, as you can imagine we get a lot of hikers in that part of the world and consequently have had some muddy carpets - so long as people leave the property as clean as they find it that works well for us . On instructions, we will take that on board. All instructions are generally available for all models on line but next time I am up there I can certainly look to drop off a paper copy for next season. We do hope we can welcome you there again and thanks again for the feedback . Property Owner

  • "We found 9 Oakley Wharf a comfortable apartment with good kitchen appliances, although we did not use the oven, microwave, hotplate or washing machine because we always ate out."

I consider the landlord could save money if they turned down the temperature on the hot water immersion heater. We also discovered, on vacuuming before leaving two oars by the side of the wardrobe & a deflated blow up boat under the bed, not that we would have used it with the sea level, even at high tide, was a drop of 20 feet. .

Thanks for taking the time to feedback. It’s very helpful for us. I am pleased it was a comfortable stay for you. I am not sure how much adjustment we have on the immersion but we will check for sure. The boat and oars are just for the owner and family as we have pottered about on the harbour for many years (though we should add to the rules!). Thanks again for your time and we hope, above all, you enjoyed North Wales, which we love. Property Owner
