  • "Beautiful location and comfortable cottage with friendly and helpful owners."

The swimming pool was a hit with our young children and the location was great for exploring the attractions of North Wales (Conwy, Llandudno, Colwyn Bay, Denbigh Castle). We'd recommend it to anyone looking for a week away in North Wales. A fabulous week.

  • "We had a lovely stay at the cottage at the start of July."

We loved to sit out in the private patio/garden area next to the pond, watching dragonflies and butterflies, perfect for alfresco dining. The kitchen had everything you could need, we even baked a birthday cake there! It's a beautiful area with plenty to do, stunning walks and we highly recommend the local pub. The pool was enjoyed by us all, especially when the weather started to get hot. We would definitely book again, fantastic cottage.

  • "We had a wonderful time at this cottage last week."

The owners are very helpful and friendly. We used it as a base to travel round but we could have just as easily just stayed at the cottage and chilled using the pool and hot tub and watching all the wildlife around us and going for walks. It’s a little out of the way for shops etc so had to drive but we did a big supermarket shop which lasted us the week. Can’t wait to go back to this beautiful place .

  • "What an amazing place!"

The pool was just fab and the grounds were beautiful. There was so much room for the kids to play and some nice spots to go and relax with a book. We felt very at home there. Also some good running / walking routes from the door and the village pub in Bodfari was brilliant. Would definitely book here again.

  • "The cottage required improvements now this could be due to Covid-19 and not being used."

There were areas that could have been cleaner especially windows, window sills, under the stairs. The kitchen must have been fitted by a tall person as I’m only 5’3’ and every thing was above waist height. The cottage could be lovely but needs some TLC. We were warned about the stairs needing care when accessing but didn’t expect them to be quite as uneven. The outdoor area was good and the scenery was beautiful, lovely walks on the doorstep. We did have a couple of issues with breakages on check in but these were quickly resolved. As my old teacher used to say “good try but could do better”.

Thank you for getting in touch with us. Your comments are very important to us. We do adhere to the Covid 19 guidelines that are published on the website and we will ensure that the cleaning team are made aware of your feedback. We were made aware that the button on the kettle wasn't working and this was replaced instantly for you. There were no other breakages at the property. Unfortunately we do advise that only small or medium sized dogs are welcome at the property. We were aware that your dog was a St Bernard which is much bigger and did cause significant extra cleaning costs due the dog hair we found at the property after your departure and a delay to the next Customers who were checking in. • "Nice property."

The steep spiral stairway could be a problem for families with very young children who require carrying up to bed/bathroom. Some areas of the cottage were in need of attention such as visible cobwebs Pleasant country walks & down a quiet lane/farm drive. Overall pleasant stay during strange & difficult times, due to COVID-19.

  • "My family and I have just had a perfect week staying at Glam Clwyd Isa."

The cottage was clean, cosy and in a wonderful quiet location. Sitting out, by the pond surrounded, by nature, was pure therapy to an otherwise hectic home life! We were blessed with a heat wave during our stay which was the icing on the cake - though, on the downside, it meant we didn’t get to try out the wood burner which was loaded with wood and ready to go! I guess that just means we need to return in colder weather. Thank you!!

  • "The Coach House at Glan Clwyd Isa farm is outstanding."

What a beautiful tranquil setting! The accomodation is very comfortable and well appointed. Log burner, lovely kitchen and a fabulous view of the duck pond from the entire living area. Our children and dog loved exploring in their wellies ( but I must note that young children will obviously need supervision by the water). This is by far the best setting and accomodation we have ever stayed in. The master bedroom is large with an enormous comfortable bed. All tastefully decorated and always warm and cosy. Mr and Mrs Crossley were extremely accomodating and friendly and were happy to help with any queries. I would highly recommend the Coach House!

The owners are on hand if you need them but really do leave you to relax and enjoy your holiday. The grounds that the couch house are on are breathtaking! The swimming pool was enjoyable but rather cold however you soon got used to the temperature. The couch house was fully fitted with everything we needed. Really was a home from home. The beds were the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on. I'm considering buying new mattresses at home the kids slept that well there :) Overall we had a fantastic week there and would definitely go back

  • "If you want to get away from the stresses of life then this is the place to stay."

We loved the cottage and found it perfect for our needs in its peaceful location surrounded by fields with farm animals and its own pond for ducks and moorhens and their chicks, so lovely to watch when sitting outside, together with other wildlife to discover. The owners were very nice and welcoming and their three dogs soon became regular visitors for a morning pat. The cottage location has its own charming atmosphere about it with the hills beyond and with local walks, yet is within easy reach of many places to visit, either to the Snowdonia National Park region and Bodnant Gardens, or to the beautiful city of Chester where you can easily get to Liverpool by train in 40 minutes, all well worth a visit.

The coach house was a comfortable place, with a well stocked kitchen and super main bedroom. Mr and Mrs Crossley were lovely hosts. Fantastic pub nearby too. We had a really great holiday.

About the location

BODFARI

Denbigh 4 miles; Mold 12 miles; Chester 25 miles.

The small village of Bodfari is peacefully located in the lovely Vale of Clwyd, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, beneath the imposing Clwydian Hill Range. Steeped in history, the village has taken on many roles, such as a Celtic camp in 500 BC and a Roman encampment, while the original Church of St Stephen pre-dates the Norman Conquest. Today, this pleasant village is home to a pottery gallery, whilst the surrounding area boasts a range of good country pubs and eateries. The Offa's Dyke Pathway is easily accessible and the ancient market town of Denbigh, with its celebrated 13th century castle and pretty streets littered with shops, pubs and restaurants, is just 4 miles away. Endless, beautiful countryside surrounds this lovely area, which offers excellent walking, cycling, fishing, and nature and bird watching opportunities. This is a wonderful base from which to explore the whole of North Wales and the Roman City of Chester.

Please be aware that the swimming pool will be open from the 18th June 2021
