  • "1st negative review we have ever left."

The kitchen is not that well equipped and yes we looked in all the cupboards. The kitchen light turned up on the dimmer is awful, there are 4 battery push lights 3 were dead and the other was a waste of time. The toilet has been replaced and what a bodge. All the woodwork behind the toilet is mouldy. There’s mould and damp in several place’s, bathroom, corner of the bedroom and all around the front door and window. There must have been a leak because the laminate is uneven and breaking up in place’s. Also anybody under 5ft 6” will not reach the mug’s and glasses. Last but not least, (sorry least) was the pathetic welcome pack. We were left 4 satchet’s of milk 2 tea bag’s a bit of coffee and 4 satchet’s of sugar. Oh nearly forget 4 single biscoff biscuit’s. We have rented cottage’s for year’s and we have alway’s been left at least a pint of milk, tea bag’s, coffee and sugar to make several drink’s. They also told us check in was not till 4pm, the cleaner’s didn’t leave till 4pm and all the floor’s were wet. On a positive note the area is beautiful and the food in the ship inn was excellent.

A lovely welcoming and comfy house, in a great location, perfect for a family/ couples/ friends/ singles! So much to see and do, both in Llanbedrog and the surrounding areas! Can’t recommend highly enough! Wish we’d stayed longer as so many more places we wanted to visit…we’ll definitely be back for another stay!

  • "The property was clean and modern and the towels and bedding very soft."

The location was good for exploring the local area and the local pub at the bottom of the bank was lovely. There were plenty of maps, leaflets and local magazines which were useful as was the ability to use picnic blanket and beach toys. There were sufficient cooking facilities and the WiFi was strong. The shower head needs attention as it needed to be hand held. Also worth a mention is that this has been the only self catering accommodation that I have ever been to that provides no added welcome extras e.g. milk, tea, coffee, sugar. Not that this is a problem but it really is self catering so you do need to take all basics including washing up liquid, cooking oil and sauces. Also it is very difficult to locate the premises as the sign is very well hidden and it was only recognisable by the photo of the next house that was identified from the booking documentation. The photos do the property justice with nice artwork and well sized rooms. The outdoor space was a decent size and we used it well. I would return but at the price paid it does need a little attention.

Many thanks for your feedback, washing up liquid and other cleaning products are always included for guests, tea/coffee milk and biscuits are also usually left as part of the welcome pack, I'll raise this with housekeeping to see what has happened! The shower shouldn't be hand held, there is a shower rail which holds the shower head in place, again, I'll ensure housekeeping check this out for us. There are two signs for the house, a slate sign and a pink sign which is shown on the Sykes Cottages and Menai Holidays website. We are so glad that you enjoyed the property extras, location and the outside space and hope to welcome you back again soon! Many thanks Hafan Bach, Llanbedrog Property Owner

  • "The cottage was clean, and nicely decorated ."

The beds were very comfortable. The surrounding area is beautiful. On the less positive side , there is only one decent size pan in the kitchen and very few utensils. The cups are kept really high up . Lastly , we really didn't like the frosted glass doors on the bedrooms, which can be seen through, causing privacy issues.

Thanks for your feedback, there are plenty of utensils in the kitchen, we will check to see if some items have gone astray! also there are additional pans in the drawer below the cooker which folks sometimes miss! The glassware and cups are located on a high shelf to prevent littles ones from taking them out of the cupboards, however, guests are very welcome to store items lower down during their stay and the housekeeper will move them higher up on check out we're so glad you found the beds comfortable and the surrounding area so lovely. Many thanks for your booking, best wishes Hafan Bach ☀️ Property Owner

  • "Fabulous stay at Hafan Bach!"

The property is beautifully decorated and well equipped with everything you will need. Welcome pack with lots of recommendations was greatly appreciated. Really comfortable stay which was home from home for our family of 4 plus dog. Hafan Bach is perfected located within easy walking distance to the beach, pubs, shop. Lots of walking routes nearby with fantastic views. Llanbedrog and the surrounding areas are truly beautiful. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

  • "We had a really relaxed stay at Hafan Bach."

The house is located in a really quiet area that is ideally situated for exploring. The welcome pack has excellent suggestions included within it as well as really useful general information. There are supermarkets within walking distance and a big ASDA about a ten minute drive away. The house is spotless and the owner clearly supports local artisans. We also found Sykes/Menai to be an excellent company to book our holiday with and would definitely book with them again.

  • "I came away with my daughter and dog for a couple of days."

We had a fabulous stay. The location was perfect to explore the peninsula and we were so blessed with the weather. The cottage itself was lovely although we did find the lighting in the kitchen a little gloomy as we like to cook and spend time at the dining table. All in all a great stay but maybe make the directions a little clearer. We had to ask one of the neighbours as we were looking for the pink sign which wasn’t there

thanks Helen, I'll find out where the sign has gone! May have come down in the winter storms! The kitchen light is on a dimmer switch, so it might not have been turned up fully, or possibly bulb has been replaced and not bright enough, will check next time I'm there thanks for your feedback, hope to have you back again to visit soon! Best wishes, Hafan Bach, Llanbedrog Property Owner
